Serious injuries (graphic) - gore/violence
Michaelp800 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Will there be realistic human body damage? E.g. serious (graphic) injuries? I think there is not a complex medical treating system... so the heavy injuries means the player is dead instantly. But it will give the other players around a better combat feeling. But will there be a better medical treating system than in ArmA 2? For "minor" injuries like broken bones (e.g. hit by bullet)? And can we see the injuries in details? Don't worry about USK or PEGI 18. For sensitive users the gore and violence should be selectable. But I really miss those side effects. Sure, it's not the focus of the game. But a nice effect. Gore and violence are big and realistic components of war! -

If u need an antialiasing without less gpu or cpu power u should activate FXAA (if supported) and deactivate the "normal" AA-mode. FXAA works also on fonts and videos. It's very nice, but still in development, but as I said really nice! -

That's very nice!! Suggestion to ArmA 3: If u are wounded (without losing body parts) u can get revived and u need medical treatment or at least a simple bandage to survive after revive. If u get injured deadly (that means losing body parts or a crushed head) u can't get revived... that's to keep a good gameplay (e.g. in reality losing limbs aren't deadly definitely). But how would u play without legs in ArmA.... so losing body parts only should be if u are deadly wounded and can't get revived. I hope, there would be a system like that... inclusive gore! Thx! -

If u are ready for a revive, u must be seriously injured. And the only way to get injured in ArmA is a traumatologically, bloody reason. If u need a revive, u should get revived. And after that u need bandages and at least medical treatment to stop bleeding. That is not 100 % real but definitively better than now! -

I don't wanna advertise... but take a look on the Battlefield 2 Modification "Project Reality". They have achieved a lot... and it's just a modification! First Aid for every class, advanced features for field medics and at least more blood!! I'm sorry to say that, but I won't buy the game if there are no advanced medical system and better looking wounds and gore. And I'm not the only one. This is a simple side-effect which enhances the gameplay dramatically. So implement it please!! -

No blood in a war game is like no reflection in a mirror. As example: A headshot is simply a bloody affair. -

I don't think they will implement amputated body parts. It's too much for an online multiplayer game and will result in frustrated players. The only situation in which I can imagine that, is a sudden death through a nearby grenade, a mine or another explosive deadly weapon. Because then the soldier can't get revived anyway. War is war. And I won't stop yelling about the features blood and medical treatment. And I won't buy the game till these features are implemented. People, u have to watch more media from liveleak.com. That's war. And it's a natural thing. Are you scared by blood? I dont think so. And the game is 18+ !! -

Michaelp800 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
ArmA just needs more blood and a better medical treating system (e.g. bandages, body armour, bloody body parts, reanimation). I do not want more blood because there is already enough in real life. But I want more blood in ArmA because it represents war. And blood is simple and easy to create and is a very effective side effect in the game. And yes: there is many blood in the world. But that's not a reason to ban it from a WAR-game! It needs more blood, definitively! BIS... please think about that again. For the beginning just more (in settings adjustable) blood. PLEASE! -

That's right too. But one thing bothers me. A war game needs (together with all the other important gameplay features) gore, gore and more gore. It's a war game. A game like this should pay more attention to that feature. I really hope, it will be added at least in a future update. If someone doesn't want gore effects, he can disable it. That's the best resolution for all. And it's not really hard work to realise that. -

Michaelp800 replied to Tyl3r99's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
If u really wanna have the best graphical result, go to the advanced settings mode and set all settings to the best. For each option u get a short description. So u can decide, what u want. If u have FPS drops with Antialiasing, disable it and activate the FXAA. It's extremely faster with very good results on all graphics (also videos and text fonts). If u have a really good computer with very good components u can activate both (and all other settings in the nVidia control panel). BTW: FXAA can be a nice effect for non-game-applications. All other applications are also reacting on FXAA (if they use graphics or kind of graphics). It's simple. //EDIT text correction -

Hehe, nope. :D I just invest money for things that are beneficial for me and other people (a community). ArmA 3 is an almost perfect game... it would be perfect if it has more gore. So I'm ready to spend money. -

Michaelp800 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What if I collect money for the additional support of "more gore" in ArmA 3 (e.g. an update or add-on)? Would that help or change something? ArmA (3) has a great potential and I like the game. But I miss the gore. I would pay a lot of money if that would help (and I know other people who would do that). I'm talking about donations. In my case about 100-300 US Dollars per month. I would organize that, if it can help to implement more gore in the game. What do u think? How much u need? (That's NOT a joke!) //EDIT text correction -

Michaelp800 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
@Denco I hope so. Disassembling bodies isn't the thing what I wish. I just wish blood on hit body parts and (as example) traces of blood on the ground. If u are more wounded u no longer can run and u will see a bloody or grey screen (also an example). Hits in the arms can result in an unarmed soldier. Hits in legs means u can't walk anymore. Slight injured soldiers can heal themselves. Serious injured ones need a medic... but they still can slow down the bleeding by applying bandage. These are small things to build into the game. And it will give a better combat feeling! Why do u just say "no" even though it can be added in future? I'm not the only player who is missing bloody effects! Man... it's war! Weapons cause bloody injuries! BIS... please implement more blood and a better medical treating system. PLEASE. -

I feel frightened and concerns. Developers should not pay attention to such blatant and completely irrational and excessive censoring of some other countries! I just don't understand that.:mad: -

I'm sorry, but the extreme censorship in Germany shouldn't have an impact/effect on developers and the result, a realistic game. -
Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- NO DISCUSSION
Michaelp800 replied to Maio's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I suggest/wish (kept simple)...: ...a better, more realistic medical treating/wounding system. That means more blood/gore and a graphic, violent content (which can be disabled for sensitive players). It's a big part of war! So it have to be in that game. It's the wish of many players, supporters and members of an army or realistic gaming experience! Thank you! -
Serious injuries (graphic) - gore/violence
Michaelp800 replied to Michaelp800's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
@Sakai Sure. Every one has a different taste. But gore is a big component of war. So the sensitive users have to cope with it, and not vice versa. //EDIT As I said a long time ago the gore level can be adjusted in settings. That's the optimal solution. All would be satisfied. The realistic players (often a member or supporter of army) enable gore, the sensitive ones can choose a lower level of gore and graphic content. -
Anyone holding off playing till the full game comes out?

In my opinion the developers should give more attention to the community wishes (especially reality, complexity and difficulty in-game). Don't worry about a later release date! -
Where can I find some business information about Bohemia Interactive (finances, partners, employees (number)...)? Does there exist a public "commercial register" like in Switzerland? I'm very interested. :)

I just say (comparable): I will prefer media from livel*** instead of yout***. Reality needs gore! It's a small thing in that huge game. So I think it wouldn't be difficult to implement that.
