Maybe some hysteresis would solve the thing with a smaller impact. If I understand correctly, the switching between LODs is done at a certain distance?

Hmmmm.... perhaps when new vehicles are available, we can have a truck that can haul more stuff? I understand the problem with building bases/time, but the "trains" are really ugly :(

True, but joining up with others should take the time down quite a bit.

I agree with the towing restriction idea, building a base shouldn't be something that 1 player can do in 1 hour. Plus, with the way it is done it looks silly as well (rigid train vs. towing for real)

While you are at it, can you expand the zone of interaction with the store? Right now it takes a bit of fiddling to get close enough AND look straight at the guy in order to get the actions.

Hello, a few observations: Yesterday around midnight I believe, not more than 10ppl on the server, decent framerate. Just now, after Sol (i think) restarted, 5 or so ppl, FPS very very low. Interesting point: when looking/walking straight, FPS kind of stabilizes. As soon as I look around, it drops. Regardless of what is around or ahead.

Treehugger, check 2 posts up ;) Anyways, tried it a bit, and to my disappointment I see that performance is still a massive issue :(

Aaaah, I've been wondering when I was gonna see this... taking a look right now :) ---------- Post added at 15:10 ---------- Previous post was at 14:43 ---------- Hmm.... Arma keeps crashing between the lobby and map, while loading. RPT lists lots of errors regarding bones. Got the thing zipped if needed. OK, got it... if started with -skipIntro and/or -noSplash (didn't test further, it's one or both of these), I don't get to the spawn selection menu and game crashes.

I see :) I don't mean to be disrespectful of you or your work, but do you have any experience with firing RL weapons? That could be very useful, that is - if your goal is to fix stuff so it's realistic. If you just wanna uber-mg-sniper, that's just fine as well :D
