    Best multiplayer/PvP game modes?

    In the beta/alpha there was a server called VIP. One team had to escort a players to 5 location on the map and the other team had to kill this VIP before he reaches all 5 places. It was the most epic time i have had on arma.

  5. I really hope that BIS will create a standalone expansion back of A3 in contemporary times. This futuristic concept is *in my opinion* a horrible choice. Fine some of this tech may exist but why would humvee's disappear from existence?

    I just wanted to say that your script works unbelievably well. Using it in my missions have been a blast. I have 2 quick questions 1) Like Oktyabr said, is there a way for a zone to have a possibility to not be populated. I suppose I can put a probability of presence around the marker but that may cause some errors. 2) Is it possible to have all units spawned in house to maintain standing position. It less then ideal when an Opfor is at a window and decides to prone. I really don't think it's even possible Once again thanks for this amazing script

    Any idea how this was done?

    Hey, I'm having some troubles integrating it. If I put it on a OnAct in a trigger an error pops up with no writing, If I put it in a sqf file and execute it nothing happens. Any Help would be appreciated.

    [REQUEST] ORBAT Tutorial

    Wow. When I did it 5 minutes ago I did get an error, however I decided to remove the problem orbat groups and focus on other parts of my mission. After you mentioned the error I recreated exactly what I had before and everything works perfectly. O.o Well thanks anyway :) (Not the first time this happened in this topic)

Any help would be appreciated. Edit: My second problem is that 2com is nt apearing on the map despite having put the same paths as 7com just changed the number. I really need your help now :(

    Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- NO DISCUSSION

    An Arma 3 standalone expansion pack set in contemporary time to restore honor to this amazing franchise. As I much I want to love Arma 3 I can't, especially when CSAT looks like bumble bees and the vehicles they drive make me cringe.

  14. In my humble opinion, Arma 3's futuristic environment was hands down the biggest mistake BIS has ever made in the history of their existence. Out of my dozens of friends who I have played with on A2 maybe only 10% has moved to A3. The new vehicles and guns, the horrendous OPFOR uniforms are just some of the things that do not fit into a mil sim. I cringe every time I play because I do not feel immersed as I once was. Fine A2 had its own fair share of issues, we all know that. However it felt realistic and believable. Tell me how many times have you played CSAT? How many times have you felt nauseated seeing those futuristic cars driving about. How many times have you felt uncompleted when looking for your recognizable weapons such as the AK or M16 in those ammo crates? There will not be extravagant mods because everyone is to busy making current day units/weapons/vehicles. The most popular mods are the ones that port some current day/A2 aspects back into the game. I want to love A3, I really do, but it seems as thought I must wait for the A3 standalone expansion pack if I want A3 to replace A2.

    Disapointed with the full release content

    I'm used to the buggy release, I don't mind the AI I got used to that as well (and there will be some mods to improve it) but what is absolutely inexcusable is the content. I just do not understand how they could release so little content after we had so much in arma 2.

    An objective look on ArmA III's initial release content.

    Making A3 in 2035 was like shooting themselves in the foot. Thats why there are issues with nearly everything. We can't get our terrific A2 content because of this 30 years in the future. To get 2035 right you need to allocate a lot of resources to make everything new, they simply bit off way more then they can chew and now we are left with a game with very little content. I would have liked if they would have simply ported everything from a2 with the new engine with an additional 10 units and a few guns then having everything new. There are many things A3 did right. but you simply can not defend they when speaking about content.

    Showcase Review

    Showcases were meant to showcase certain aspects of the game. In general it does a pretty poor job in doing so. The tank mission was horrific, I had to restart it 4 times due to many problems. I find them all too short. The assult one was the only one in the entire list worth playing. What gets me mad is that arma 3 shipped out with not even one scenario. Not one realistic mission. Not one. Arma 2 had some good ones, like eye for an eye, or at least one like one shot one kill from OA. But we got nothing, and must rely on the community to give us realistic missions. The campaign better not be like these showcases. I loved harvest red because it focused on you and your team. And the story line was compelling as well. I really hope BIS delivers on the campaign.

    [SP] Into the storm

    Into The Storm Situation Bluefor has been planning a large scale assault over the island of Stratis for a long time. In the past 4 months we have been preparing; speaking with locals, sending sabotage teams and undercover agents. The date for this assault is June 6. However high command has overlooked a small camp in the north of Stratis. The camp is carrying a mobile air radar on an armored vehicle. Command has chosen to send your squad, on the eve of the assault, to destroy the vehicle. Weather conditions are not in your favor either, as one of the largest storms ever to hit Stratis is slowly brewing up. Description This mission plays out a lot like former bis missions. It includes many things that bis devs use when creating their mission. It is very fun and interesting as it includes dialog between squad mates, command and even civilians. It was a complete blast to make. I hope you enjoy. Features Complete objective system: Mission is very bis like and resembles the showcase system. Mid mission tasks and optional objectives are all included. Variety in combat: Fight over long distances and short ones as visibility is reduced during the peak of the storm. Various Civilians: Speaking with local survivors in various locations may give you indispensable intel that was not given by the HQ. Multiple endings:Supports different endings depending on what objectives were completed. 45 minutes plus of game play: Depending on your style of play the mission could stretch well over an hour. Installation Place it in \Arma 3\Missions, no need to extract. Issues The only issue in this mission is that bis removed rain :(, so it takes away from the atmosphere but I promise to add as soon as the bis puts in back into the editor. Final Notes This is my first ever mission created with arma 2 or 3 that I have decided to post for public download. I'm looking to make my mission better and I would love to hear feedback from people who played my mission. If there is anything you liked/hated or anything that you feel should be included I would love to hear it. If there are issues or bugs that you found post them in the thread.     Going to start testing at night and currently looking into the briefing not appearing at mission start. Everything is viewable in the map screen but I will get it working so it pops in before you start the mission. Thanks for the feedback. Edit: all is fixed
