				New Respawn Screen (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Hi, unfortunately I am not able to reproduce this issue in today's dev branch version. I tried it in an empty SP mission and the map worked just fine. Could you please provide some repro steps how to achieve this issue in current version? Thanks! -

				New Respawn Screen (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I can't guarantee that we will support all these options. I am afraid that scope of the current respawn related task isn't so wide to cover all these areas and we would need to significantly change even some other things in the game. I am currently talking mainly about features like changing of loadout on the fly during the mission. On the other hand, we keep all these requirements in our mind and we will try to support any similar mission features and functionality changes in our scripts as much as possible. Thanks for all your notes and feedback! I am afraid that answer to your question is no. There are currently no plans to change the way loadouts work, at least not in this task and in the respawn overhaul. I personally believe that better place for any such feature would be Arsenal or 3D editor, so I will inform developers working on these about your proposal and maybe they will implement it in some way. Thanks for your feedback! Thanks for your report. We are currently investigating this issue and we try to fix it as soon as possible. -

				New Respawn Screen (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Yes, absolutely. This new respawn screen is used only if a mission designer wants to use it (sets required respawn templates). Thanks a lot for your feedback! We looked into all your comments. Some issues/points mentioned by you (for example those two respawn buttons) should be already fixed/changed, some others will follow. I am afraid not all your notes will be completely implemented, for example some of your mockups are big step in the direction where things were before and for various reasons we don't think it worked so well. On the other hand, your feedback is really valuable for us and even though we don't change everything according it, there is definitely inspiration for us and things to think about, so big thanks for that! We were thinking about this approach as well, we have even created some pre-implementation mockups in this direction, but unfortunately it didn't seem to work the way we wanted. I am not sure if I got it right here. We don't want to allow player change roles/loadout on the fly without dying. Yes, you are right that there was a lot of changes in the related scripts. This means that some your edits in our scripts will need to be looked up and edited for them to work. We are sorry for that, but it should be still perfectly possible to achieve everything you described. You can expect documentation of new respawn screen which should help you to understand all changes and adjust your scripts. For now, it seems to be too soon to create detailed documentation, because the implementation is not final and there will be definitely some additional changes. Thanks for your understanding! -

				New Respawn Screen (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
It would definitely make sense to work this way. I haven't looked into the scripts handling loadout application on unit so far. If it doesn't work this way, we can definitely look at it and check what can be done in this matter. There is already a possibility to configure loadout in the Arsenal and use it in mission config afterwards. This is more question for team working on Eden. I will consult this with them. Thanks for the feedback! We will look into this, thanks for the suggestion! This should be fixed soon (today or tomorrow). -

				New Respawn Screen (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
Oh, sorry, I should have done this right on the start. Part Configuration with examples added to the first post. It is actually a button and not a title. There are two buttons right now, we are thinking about removal of that bottom one, this way we could put the Statistics button in there instead. Should be done already. If it doesn't work for you, let me know with repro and I will check what is broken. Planned feature, but it is not in there yet. We will definitely look at this proposal and reconsider it, but unfortunately there is not anything like this in our plans related to Respawn Screen overhaul at this moment. We haven't looked at this yet and I am not sure how real is to cooperate with number of mods. I mean it could simply require more time/resources than we actually have. But we can look at it and maybe there could be at least something we can do. Unfortunately I can't promise anything in this matter right now. It is already in there. When you don't use the "Spectator" template, then the button is disabled. -

				Aphex expansion and joining servers
DarkDruid replied to j0zh94's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Yes, it is exactly as you described. You will be able to connect to a server who runs the expansion even without need to buy the expansion yourself. But you won't be able to connect to a server which runs a mission based on Tanoa. -

				New Server Browser (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to DarkDruid's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
We definitely plan to offer more complex filtering. Filtering according to the game settings mentioned by you should be a part of the final version of Server Browser. -
Yes, we do plan some improvements in this area. More details should be available soonâ„¢ ;)

				Scripting Discussion (dev branch)
DarkDruid replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I will add it to the documentation. The correct alternative syntax for Arma 3 is: ropeCreate [vehicle player, "fastrope0", 10];- 1481 replies

Joining Public Servers Running Mods/addons Isn't Rocket Science!
DarkDruid replied to infiltrator_2k's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Hi, this should be automatic and shouldn't require any serverside configuration. The issue mentioned by you (an empty expansion box in the server browser) could be caused by server and client in the same LAN. Data for the expansion box are transferred via Steam and they can be unavailable when connected via LAN. Could you please check if the issue occurs even for computers which are not in the same LAN as your server? Thanks -
I will look at it :)

setWaypointType "FOLLOW" works in editor but not in script?
DarkDruid replied to Chris_Acrobat's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi, missing support of the "FOLLOW" waypoint type is very probably a mistake on our side. Could you please report this issue on Fedback Tracker? We will look at it and fix it. Thanks! -
Hi, could you please create a Feedback Tracker ticket for this issue and attach the mission to that ticket? Thanks :)
 -
Yes, this is intentional behaviour of the advanced hint system. The height of that hint could cause some troubles (collision with other elements on the screen etc.) so there is the message as a warning. I will inform the author of the mentioned hint that his hint is too long. Thanks!
 -
Thanks for letting us know! This was probably broken by some recent change. I will check it ASAP :) Passed to the author of that mission. Hopefully he will be able to fix it soon. Thanks for help!
 -
Yes, this is the correct interpretation :)
 -
Already on my to-do list. You can expect it soonTM ;)
 -
No. This should affect only the damage given to objects around explosion.
 -
Yes, I noticed it here and the author of this thread was right, so we changed it ;)

Research project on ARMA 3, Informants needed!
DarkDruid replied to almanzo's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Hi, I am not sure how many participants do you need, but you should probably try to ask on the DayZ forums as well: forums.dayzgame.com I will send the link to this post to our PR/Community Managers and the DayZ developers. I guess some of them are going to be interested to participate. :) -
Hi, could you please use Feedback Tracker (feedback.arma3.com) and report these issues there? Feedback Tracker is directly designed for reporting of bugs/issues. Not all A3 devs read forums and I can assign issues reported there to the right person. Thank you for understanding :)
