    1-2 FPS on Altis and 60 fps on stratis.

    I Don't think it is just a problem for 32 bit machines I run 64 bit os and dam compare stratis to altis its a big mess, can't seem to turn with out minor freezes, can't use binoculars with out freezing can't use cqb scope to scope with out freezing, cant walk more than 2 meters with out freezing, can't drive with out stuttering. only plays bad on altis I Don't know what is up lately as stratis has been fine for me but altis has massive lag for me now even if i turn every thing down from ultra settings and object and view down to nearly min it is still doing the same think i might YT it for reference.

    its about the amps on psu as well, my old psu = 750 watt 29amps done similar things for ages till i worked out it did not have the amps to run my card so I bought a good psu with 80 amps 850 watt and now I can crossfire no problems 2 x ati hd6970 = 550 watt draw you can have a high watt psu but with out the right amps it won't do.

    @smurf on the old site for a3 features it was a confirmed feature like the 3d editor was, but it probably has been taken down now -I know I saw it on the bis a3 site not from the forums if you read the under ground posts you will see that they were meant to be released with the game before the big change happened It was in the sticky too at one time couldn't see it when I just checked but it probably has been updated to take out all the axed features that were originally planned.     @ dale0404 were not doomsayers we just expect a bit more from a 4th gen game to have buildings that can be entered is not much of an ask is it in 2013, one of my main reasons to going to a3 was from the first posts about a3 were they were going to support underground structures as a terrain maker it was a big big disappointment to get told later its out the window so it gets a bit more depressing the more time goes on and features get axed or told maybe later is not what a lot of the community want to hear. to me all buildings should be entered or what is the point of them being there props are what we don't need and interaction is what we need for a infantry based game isn't it.

I know about the my documents /arma3/missions/ it is the first place I checked that is why I started looking in other places and came across the above folders and have not found the pbo any where, I checked the main game folder in missions only the mission pbos from armaholic are in there so I am a bit stumped. I am running the dev build.
  8. I download 6 missions from steam but none are in my appdata/local/arma3/SteamMissionsCache its empty in the SteamPreviewCache folder there is the pictures from the mission that i have but can't find the dam pbo's checked in the main mission folder in steam libary and nothing ?

It seems a lot of people here seem to think old cpu and gfx cards will run the game they will but at low gfx and fps, from my experience from the 2 pc's I have bought to play arma3 money talks, both cpu and gfx need to be of good quality ie price you can't expect a £500 pc to play this game well £500 is a budget machine. My arma2 pc was a q6600 on asus maximus formular 8 gig ram 60gig sd drive ATI HD6970 2gb ram it ran fine for arma2 ,when I used it for arma 3 "well above the min specs" the game did not fare so well so an upgrade was in order. The first board and cpu were asus extreme 3 core I7 [email protected] 12gb ram same gfx card as above and the same sd drive I got a bit better performance but still was not happy with it so I got the next gen asus sabretooth I7 3770 @4.2 x2 Ati hd 6970 now have 4 gig of gfx ram and the same sd drive and I get 60 fps with no drop fully maxed on ultra settings every thing up to max the only way to get better fps now is a new monitor. £500 budget pc £1500 midrange pc £2000-3000 top end pc I say you get what you pay for in life.

    Hi and Thank's for the great addon, I get a few errors on screen File ( WW_AICOVER\ww_aicover.sqf, line 337 ) I was playing with the tpw ebs and a couple of other ai enhancements when I added your addon yesterday I get freezes in game every 2 or 3 minutes only happens when I enable the addon if I don't use it it works normally a haven't checked the rpt yet if you like I can stick a YT vid up to show you it . cheers again
  12. crossfire on 2 x ati hd 6970 runs way better than just the 1 card on both A2/A3 frames won't drop below 60 with all ultra settings so I would say yes no stuttering either and drivers are fine too.

  15. I get your point but I don't think you get what you have said here (We should be hoping for official fixes to avoid having to use third party programs. We should have everything we need with the A3/Steam combo.) "Steam is a 3rd party" Bis should of stuck with sprocket I can't praise it enough I have 12 copy's of a1/a2/0a/baf/pmc/acr/Toh/hinds bis should of gone it alone for distribution which in turn would mean no 3rd partys and could of built a system like six in house and would not now have to act on the situation that is now brewing on the forums in terms of IP rights. Example if I use the a1 sample rifle mod it for a3 and release it on steam workshop for arma3 that's fine but if that addon was the best /most downloaded addon and they saw this they could in theory take that addon and use it in a new game which in turn would break BIs eulas for only being used in arma series and non profit. Why did we need steam at all what is the reason I have to have steam on my machine just to activate the game and now when I play I get steam telling me the world and his brother are playing this or that game on my game screen just to annoy me some more. :) Sorry for the hijack yes the ui is a bit stale and old and needs a face lift.
  16. @Badhabitz With the problems of steam workshop on ip rights the addons won't be there to download off steam, so play with six or armaholic will be the norm still. I would rather be free from steam till we have sorted the ip rights for mod and addon makers first to be able to release content knowing it won't be used in other games with just a mention that they built it, Also having to give up their IP rights with the upload to steam workshop. (We should be hoping for official fixes to avoid having to use third party programs) yes it would be good to have what you have asked for in an ideal world no steam and mod and server intergration and not having to use a 3rd party programme ie steam to activate and play your game would of been the best solution.

    Its not just about the money paid for the game for me (cheers MAC) , it was the scrimping and saving for the 2 new pc's I had to buy to play the game at the highest fps I could afford and now I don't play online I haven't found a good server since my GU split, The campaign was my main part to the game and now the campaign when released is just a couple of missions stringed together it will not be like the old campaigns in that multi branch ways of completing the mission and not out on release and with the axed features I feel pissed off spending over £3000 on 2 machines for just 1 game that now turns out not to be what we signed up for from the original plan. Arma has been the only title I have played in the last 10 years the only games I have installed up untill recently now I find my self playing insurgency2 and drifting away from A3 I had some good plans for islands and sorts but now I am not sure to carry on with the series as too much has been axed or dummed down to a casual ordiance for me, I got my dad playing my son my nephews and a few friends to all buy copies of a1/a2/oa/dlc's/TOH/A3 my support has now dwindled to encourage people to buy/play the game. Just hope I get my mojo back or ill bin it off and start looking at ground breach and the udk engine to play with.

    +1 well I had to sit there till he had enough of playing jet set willy or jumping jack before i got my go, I have made my kids do the same "dad you said 2 hours ago it was my turn". lol

I used to save the sketchup file and pass it to modo or blender I can't remember off the top of my head, import then hold shift + t and it converts polygons to triangles then export as .obj so then it will go in oxygen but a few faces will have to be reversed and you have to resize the model I have used a few sketchup models as place holders here and there. Quick and easy to do.

Hi all thought i might share this sangin is working on A3 looks cool with the new clouds runs a lot smoother aswell frames at 60fps on ultra gfx settings before i used to get 30fps on a2. all i did was make an addon folder same as normal then copy all thesehttp://i49.tinypic.com/w1wwzp.png (155 kB) http://i49.tinypic.com/jr8pc1.png (156 kB) .pbo's from a2 and Expansion folder to the addon folder all vehicles work and weapons too cant use the units so place empty vehicles on terrain and enjoy all maps should work ones that use 3rd party addons just run the addon aswell Quick image of waziristan http://i49.tinypic.com/1jsrip.jpg (189 kB)

    I have the same controller just go into controls in arma and set it up how you want it not sure if saitek have profiles for arma2/3
  24. think its killed a few missions too as ive had a few that worked now they don't same as missing this and that then it wont start
