@Pac man it did not work out for iron front taking that route having to ask and then have the work inspected or disallowed and put in a dlc also due to country restrictions like not allowing ss badges on uniforms, it broke the game hell i wouldn't even buy it when i found out the addon policy. Also not all bi models are topnotch as we see in a3 http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198059331756/screenshots/ take a look at some of my screens many things have slipped under the radar and these guys are professional model makers texture artists, who is checking there work for them as it is not up to the quality over quantity like has been stated, but we have paid our money already maybe 90% will get fixed but there is still plenty from a2 that has not been fixed in 4 years your idea that bis are infallible doe's not count from release day it was really unexceptionable bad to release models that had been shown for months in screen shots to come out like they did in my opinion i don't get paid for addons so i can chuck them out in any state as your lucky to get them, when i charge for them you have a right to complain about it. -
any info as to when multiplayer will be playable DNA

In mp its still unplayable 4 of us on the ix-tf server last night I had 40 fps in towns but it kept stuttering and freezing for all of us, fps stayed at 40 but driving was stuttering and walking was the same still a long way to go yet on dev build seemed to get better for a minute or 2 if we done the flush but then it came back to stuttering.

@opticalsnare been watching that engine for the last couple of years defo the way to go in the future for big open worlds with good fps can't wait for it to be fully functional. -

@ruecan Why should we have to spend hours tweaking to get something playable, many people have far better specs than are recommended and a great amount of money spent, but still ends up poor fps and stuttering, textures not loading, lod popping. I just upgraded from I7950 to a 3770k and its still bad at times on the dev build even in single player, I don't even go mulitplayer as when we have its utterly unplayable yesterdays update made me go in slow motion when walking or running I had to speed up time to get it back to normal it happened 7-8 times in just 1 mission no reason for it. when this happens it kills it for me http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/903260606710205109/646988EFB74675159FB34949E1BA1250E2DFEFE9/ Ive had devbuilds were I can max out settings, view and object to max and played fine after release its got a whole lot worse one day it goes fine in sp next update it reverts to being crap again its a rollercoaster ride im getting sick of and like the op just can't see it being playable for a good while yet but hey we still have arma2 to keep busy with -

actually the content excluding vehicles and planes, object wise there is hardly any compared to a2 chairs tables sofas tents so much missing from what a2 had as i like to make missions and terrains these objects make the scene\mission\terrain the devil is in the detail and there is not much to use at the moment. its like travellers have invaded altis and stole every thing that was not nailed down -

whole factions not like the oa dlcs, take the baf dlc for example new baf units 2x jackal 1x warrior 4x air it just did not seem much for a dlc I know it was only £8.00 but I would of paid much more to have a full faction like support vehicles ammo, fuel, medic, logistic vehicles, fast air, would of been better representation of a faction as I and many more friends think that would of been better and maybe sold a bit more Also if the new dlc's come with a mini campaign make them work out the box pmc was bad baf was bad acr even worse still not fixed and I have not finished it yet . -

a3 in it self seems a mixed bag as you have some models from a2 some small objects from toh I cant understand why they just did not take all the scene models and just put them in game it would mean we actually had some furniture and other bits to make altis stratis lived in just seems strange they did not go the full route and include all scene models as a3 is really tight on objects. -

Kju you may have explained this already I own all the dlc's for a2/oa/toh the baf pmc and acr have the shit textures when running AIA is there a way to use the good ones I paid for in AIA cheers mate -
yes got to say that my frames have gone up by 20 FPS not quiet back to 60 but better than 2 days ago when it was near on impossible to play SP let alone MP 10fps, great job and good to see that texture path error has gone too it seems that many vehicles are suffering texture lod problems when near and far disappearing pieces and shadows also the hemet box has the box missing when you go close or move away from it. noticed when on a corner of some houses and you lean out it makes all buildings behind the house disappear from view I dont think all houses are finished I have had this on some projects I have done in the past.

No worries I sat and watched the driver he did manage to remove himself from the barrier but then just started doing weird turns once free rather than just drive down the road again. how much of a performance increase did you get on your side for the texture fix on the building you mentioned, if you could find out be cool the scene renders for me much quicker but does not equate to any fps gain still stuttering for me driving flying and turning ,also the new 3d scopes seem to be not halving my fps anymore when used cheers smokedog

I went to test today's dev update for performance and its still not good at first I thought it had improved as the distance textures didn't take that long to generate compared to the last build were it would take 10 secs to render the far distance 10k view so i was in sp and went for a fly and drive which felt smotth at first but within 10 mins was getting 20 fps from 60 with no ai or mods running just does not seem to be getting to what I had a month ago in performance.
