  1. Using the headless client module that is part of ACE_X is there a way to exclude an individual A.I. from being transferred to the headless client?

  5. We currently have a problem with using the Settings Framework when loading up the server config option. Everything appears to be working correctly except the "forceAllSettings". We do not want to force all settings so understand that the correct input would be "0" example: class ace_common_forceAllSettings { value = 0; typeName = "BOOL"; force = 1; }; However, when trying to access ACE Options once connected to our server nothing is listed. It is all blank. Are we missing something simple? Is this a bug? A workaround? Thanks!

  9. QUESTION When researching how people build mission I often unpack them and look through everything, learning through tearing it apart kinda. I've noticed some mission makers do not utilize the in editor ACE 3 modules but instead set ACE features, parameters, settings, ect by calling them in a .hpp file type. Why is this? Are there any benefits to either method? Mission performance? easy cut and paste for mission templates?

    Part of a group where we like to keep our modpack as small as possible. Our air guys have no interested in the futuristic airframes but love the UH-60s.

    Concerning the UH-60 pack. What is the difference between the UH-60 and UH-60_c pbos? Does the "C" pbo's contain the futuristic aircraft?
  13. Looking for a group to play the OPFOR role during some of our missions. Depending on the mission, anywhere between 8-15 OPFOR players needed. WHEN: Saturday's 8pm EST (would last approx 1.5-2 hours) OPFOR role would vary mission to mission. One mission OPFOR may be Russian Spetsnaz and the next might be an Insurgent or Guerrilla Militia style force. Would provide mission brief/details approx a week prior.   15. Hey, I had a problem the other night where I believe I accidentally hit some key bind. The result was nato style military symbols showing over every friendly and some enemy positions. I believe the enemy positions that had the symbol over their head were the enemies my "player" had spotted. The difficulty was set to ELITE so no player markers should be showing on the map or anything like that. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to disable it. Was this just a glitch or did I in fact enable some marking system?? Thanks
  16. Is there a way to disable this mission wise or server side? I feel like this is cheating if we are trying to play on elite difficulty.
  17. Currently the group I'm in everyone has APEX. However, we are playing with another group in a week that does not have APEX. If I create a mission and host it on our server they cannot join it. A way around that is to go to my steam library and disable my APEX DLC. The problem is then going back to APEX requires me to download it again. Is there a way to temporarily disable the APEX content in the editor or anything like that? Making it so playing the mission is not dependent on having APEX? If not this would be a good feature for future EDEN Editor updates.
  18. They are not always clearly seen in the editor. Some objects if your using the search bar don't mention if they are apex or not.

OPERATION THUNDERDOME We are looking for a few milsim groups to compete against in group vs group Team vs Team (20v20) or looking to combine w/ another group for a joint TvT against two other groups. Operation Thunderdome’s goal is to create FORCE on FORCE (TvT) objective based scenarios with a planning and execution mindset. Too often force vs force multiplayer game modes turn into opposing sides racing around to capture or defend locations on a map. If your unit takes proper time to plan, conduct proper movement, and execution then your unit finds itself too far behind from the get go. The idea behind Thunderdome is not to create a cut throat, E-Sports, high stakes to win atmosphere but rather to bring together people in a true milsim game. Operation Thunderdome missions involve objectives, controlled roles/kits, and vehicles to ensure games have a milsim feel. There will not be entire teams of snipers, AT, ect. Missions will be designed to consist of two rounds, each side having an opportunity to play both BLUFOR & OPFOR. Missions are thoughtfully designed but not always with exact asset balance. For instance BLUFOR’s task is to insert on an island, locate an enemy artillery piece, and destroy it. BLUFOR will be provided with sufficient and a variety number of land, sea, and air assets to execute the mission how they feel fit. BLUFOR may have assets that give them a clear advantage in some aspects to make up for the fact the OPFOR has the advantage of defending. In turn OPFOR may be limited in their assets. BLUFOR may be provided with advanced weapon sights and OPFOR may not. However, in the end each side will have an opportunity to play from both perspectives.
