What is the "correct" way to deal with ACRE, I have always just used the generic class names (like ACRE_PRC152 or w/e) to give them to units. Is this right? -
You can disable it via the steam properties if you want to see what it looks like without it.

I quite like the way this sounds like its going to work, I think the problem is that it seems many people haven't read the dev blog post properly. I had someone complain to me earlier that non DLC owners wouldn't be able to use the helicopters at all because they are unable to use the go-karts. Maybe if BI had put in a two seater to show the fact that non owners can act as passengers. Which is a non issue in my eyes, as someone said previously people who enjoy flying will buy the DLC. So a game developer giving free access to (restricted) premium content is what a greedy company does? If BI truly didn't give a shit about their customers they wouldn't spend all this effort to avoid splitting the community. They wouldn't include things like rotorlib for free etc. Some people need to take a step back and see what they are moaning about and accusing of BI of doing. Especially when you remember that this is an industry where a €15 map pack of 4 maps the size of a small bedroom is acceptable...

It causes conflicts, the MCC versions config overrides any settings the mission maker sets which makes VAS useless in a lot of missions. For example when VAS was inside MCC it was impossible for us to limit stuff but since it has been removed we can once again limit what people can select. -

What would need to be done? I can't think of anything ACRE would have to do to work with zeus. (Apart from maybe some sort of god hearing / talking mode to listen in every frequency but apart from that) -

Is anyone else having an issue where on a dedicated server the time in missions goes back (or forward, I cant remember) an hour when it starts? I'm not sure if its MCC but I am trying to narrow it down. -
This is something I have wanted for a while, there is so much potential to link ArmA to external devices and applications to improve gameplay (and realisim in some situations). I think i'll be keeping my eye on this. Can confirm its easy as hell, I did a quick prototype a few months ago using leaflet and some custom made tiles. Its shockingly easy, I only stopped messing with it because I didn't think anyone would actually use something like that. (And the fact the titles for stratis took a couple of hours to generate. I wonder purely on a technical level how you did it for your AAR system?)

Hey Kiory do you think there's any possibility you will ever model the new LLM (vario ray)? It'd be a nice thing to go with your L85s and would be going a bit towards there being a full set of British gear for A3.

Surely this is the thing mentioned in the known issues section? It takes the hit but the textures don't show wounds (yet?).

Everyone should probably just avoid the #restart command at all costs. It seems to cause no end of issues with missions that are even slightly complicated. -

I am sure you are aware of this (I think I saw it mentioned somewhere in the past ~100 pages) but when A3MP is loaded there are loads of blank factions (just with names EAST WEST etc). Its not an issue at all apart from increasing the number of factions to look through when spawning stuff. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this? -
Just what I expected to be honest, was just kind of wondering if the maps would be of a noticeable size. But anyway it seems the people I was concerned about have no issues with the size so I look forward to running around in the desert and forests again.

Just out of interest (I guess I could test myself but I am lazy) how much (if at all?) smaller would this be if the actual maps were removed? I ask purely because I am loving the ability to load community made maps without AiA but I am not too sure if the people I play with would be completely happy with downloading 5GB+ of mods. Good work though, ArmA 2 maps look amazing in ArmA 3. Its nice to be able to use them without AiA.

I appreciate the effort you are taking to simplify this for everyone. However I have one question regarding the paragraph at the end. Does this rule out the monetisation of gameplay videos? Or am I misunderstanding it. (For the sake of this, when I say gameplay I mean MP gameplay with voice chat over the top of it if that makes any difference) -

Hi Shay, Loving the mission wizard, it has gotten my small group actually using MCC in the way it was designed (with a DM creating a mission in real time) instead of as a crutch in other missions. Great fun, but we are having a slight issue when we play two or three mission wizards in a row, there are a lot of dead bodies and general mess left lying around. Therefore I am wondering, is it possible for you to put in a sort of garbage collector that runs x minutes after all the objectives are completed / when players are far enough away to clear up after? I think this would help performance a bit and I guess it wouldn't be too hard to implement either. -
The best thing I have seen so far is an option in patrol ops called "easy take down", it basically adds an event handler to every AI unit that causes them to take double damage. It is a little hacky I guess but it works really well and makes playing quite fun.

I'm aware that you guys do not want this re-uploaded anywhere (for reasons I fully understand) but does this extend to private SU repositories? I'd love to be able to use this within my small community but that would require hosting inside our private mod pack. I fully understand if this isn't allowed but I hope it is. Everything in this pack looks amazing.

It doesn't use ASDG so it doesn't just magically work with other things. Its a downside of BI's interesting way of making attachments work.

Just out of interest (based on a post of yours I saw earlier) do you actually have access to VBS3 already? Obviously just ignore this post if you aren't allowed to answer this question.

They did, from RV2. The stuff shown as being in VBS2 2.0 was on a modified RV2 engine (as far as I know anyway). It is impressive what they have done, no matter what version of the RV engine it is. I honestly didn't think the RV engine could look like that.

I'm just going to say I was extremely sceptical about this. I just gave it a try though, on the server running Stratis and I was getting 40+ FPS in most cases. Much better than any recent MP sessions Iv played (<15 FPS). I seriously look forward to this server being available for everyone and the other performance patches that seem to be suggested that are coming. -- Oh also is it possible to know the spec of the server? Just out of pure curisorty. -

They are probally either running much better hardware, or simply not running awful missions. The main problem with low FPS in arma MP is crappyly made missions and mods which kill (network) performance. Wasteland comes to mind..
