When I add 100 AI it goes around 50% but alone in Stratis it's easily 99% so it's very mission dependable.

Might be some issue with your card/cooling because my 560 Ti remains 60C and fan speed is 55% when playing Arma 3. GPU usage is mostly 90%-99% when playing alone in the Stratis. Edit: Tested watching through 12x scope and card temperature rises only 3C and fan speed rises 3%. Now that I think more your problem it sounds weird hmmm.

Wow those lights looked cool now. I think the performance wasn't far away if you compare it to the stable build with uglier lights. At least dynamic lights settings has purpose now because there's about 10fps difference between ultra and low.

I've thought for a year that my 2600K ran unclocked until recently I watched that it runs at 4,4GHz when gaming. Kinda sad because I thought that I can OC nicely more :D

Maybe possible that AI isn't affected by the wind? Might save some time and I believe people could sacrifice from that?

Sounds like the publisher is just saying that the language isn't available yet. Or is it that you can't type Japanese letters? Can't really say from these posts. But if... How is it even possible to restrict what language you use in game if the language is available for others? Is it possible just get language.pbo from a guy that has the Japanese language or is it that simple :confused: Ok that way might be "illegal" but restricting out your own language from the game even when it'll available is so shitty move from the publisher. -

Looks very lovely. But I agree it needs some tweaking and what wouldn't when it's first implemented. Color tweaking comes first in my mind. It looks blue/lilac on my screen but fog has the same color that clouds have so it needs to be white/gray and maybe pinch of blue. Also the view distance fog needs to come more to the very light blue IMO. Second thing is you can see maybe too well into the fog from above if you compare it how you can see inside the fog in front of you. -
Haha that scripter is so pissed. He doesn't get any better answer even if he bombs BIS. But I'm bit scared about this because he can put this bad scripts in client. Just hoping that he can only add Arma scripts and not make viruses.

If someone convince you then you need to forget every other shooter when you enter in Arma series. It's that much different in every aspect not just gameplay.

Clunky animations and eye/screen burning HDR are the things I hate in Arma 2 and now I hate them even more :D -
I hope that the blue color that is in view distance and in that fog will be more to light blue/white than what we have now. It's too lilac right now and now you can see it easily with that new fog.

There isn't Anti-Cheat yet so it's better for casual players stick with Arma 2 when they play popular game modes like wasteland and domination. Alpha is still more for private communities and SP gaming. When people can play better PvP game modes then I believe we can see more players playing constantly.

I really liked the combat jog's speed now. Felt bit more realistic and easier to move inside.

EDcase is right that many people would get nice frames if the AI calculations are optimized. AI just drops your GPU usage the more there are AIs. I've tested couple times that when I add 100 Ai to fight on each other and watch them to fight my GPU usage is avg. 50% and so does fps drop 50% but I don't see much CPU usage rise even. Normally GPU usage is 99% on an empty island. What comes to OP tip I shall test it right now. /Now tested Multi was on by default and the fps trend went downward when switching first to comp. and then single. Though we are only talking about 1-2 fps. -
Simply the faster you move your mouse the less your character moves. For example turning 180 you need to move the mouse 3cm slowly but it takes 5cm fast. Arma 2 has this and you can't turn it off.

Last time I played Planetside 2, don't remember was it beta or full already, the performance was even worse than in Arma 3 and there was't even much vegetation. I agree that mid range textures could look better in Arma 3 and the LOD popping should be fixed. There are times when trees looks bad near the edge of my screen both left and right but they look good in the middle. But I'm happy about the graphics overall. Only thing is graphics maybe look bit candy. -

Got the same headset and I feel the same that I can't locate well where the shots are coming from but this maybe doesn't have anything to do with the topic. I can locate shots well in Arma 2.I like the guns sounds volume in Arma 3 but I can see why people want some sliders. The only problem is exploiting if it's possible with those. Would help those who don't have headsets. -
