    *REDACTED BY MODERATOR* The whole point that goes over your head completely, is that private addons regardless of where they are posted, should be KEPT Private, not showboating in the public domain..... ie HERE!!! You also miss the point that people CAN make screenshots appear PUBLICLY, or FRIENDS, or PRIVATE, so that only the poster can see them, there's no such ability here. It's common sense, if you keep posting ripped/ported content (I dislike the word stolen, sure someone somewhere stole it, and then placed it on these Russian 3d forums/sites) sooner or later, someone with a sharp eye will notice, and slap "notice" on you. You want to post such content on your OWN steam page, that's up to you, unless you make them public, only a select group of YOUR choosing gets to see them. Why would you want to draw attention to yourself as a person who is quite happy using "stolen" content, just to be popular amongst the modding community ? Again, you seem to be taking this VERY personally.

    In case you hadn't noticed, this isn't face book, nor steam, different houses, different rules, and it doesn't get much simpler than keep your "private" addons private.. this is a public forum, and the rules, or the new rules should be respected. Why is this an issue to you?

    That's not what "Private" means in the case of such addons, it means that for whatever reason the author/creator has deemed it should NOT be in the public domain, and for me that means that neither should any pictures of said addon be available publicly. Posting screens of something you have, knowing full well others will want it only leads to problems down the line, it's the proverbial carrot on a stick, with no chance of eating that carrot. Here's what normally happens, the OP gets bombarded with PM's and begging for access, due to the addon being super cool, they will even offer financial incentives, throw in their own "ripped/ported content as swapsies, once that person receives that "private" addon, he then thinks it's cool to add into his "clan" mod, and before long, your "private" addon finds it's way into several hundred individuals, who will not think twice about passing it on to friends.... that's the real scenario. There's no such thing as a legit "Private" addon, legit addons are publicly available, or WiP's given in trust to individuals to "showcase" for the creator.

    I'd say that re textures don't fall into this category, as these are re textures of addons already released to the public.

    Which is what's happening now. The words "Private" are lost to many many people, in the case of these "addons" it means not for general release, so why show it on a public forum? I posted dozens of pictures with "private" addons before, and had no real big issue with it, but when stuff given to others as part of those "Private" addons was disseminated to persons outwith a group, who then decide to "share" these, by posting pictures, the "privacy" issue was tossed aside. Private addons, means that either you, or the originator(s) do not wish the masses to have access to them, it's the main reason I stopped making addons, and I know there's several other key modders within the community on the brink of stopping their creations too. If I give you, or your group an addon, and explicitly say " DO NOT POST PUBLIC PICTURES" and you do so, then you do not deserve to have these addons, and your selfishness falls over to the rest of the community, when addons are pulled. Private and Works in Progress, are two very different beasts, one is an addon that will be available on completion, the other.... I'll leave you guys to figure that one out. It's simple really, if something is private, keep it private, don't post it to a public forum. That way you'll not be flagged/warned/banned etc.

    There's a serious lack of information here from the OP. 1. What tool did you use to create basically a box, other than blender? 2. How did you export the model created in blender 3. Did you UV map it, and create all the necessary selections, and LODS/Geometry/Shadow LODS etc 4. What did you use to "scale" your model I see dozens of these threads pop up, where someone with zero modelling skills has no understanding of the concept/road map to making an addon, and does very little research, jumps straight into trying to get an object into the game, with no config scripting experience either, then ask what's going wrong. It's great you want to get into modding, but you need to spend a little bit more time with the basics, there's tonnes of youtube video's out there that show you how to use the arma 3 tool box, by Al Warren, which is a must for creating objects within Arma. Best advice, learn to walk first and be comfortable walking, before trying to run a marathon

    As mentioned several times in recent weeks/months, I've retired from making A3 addons and have deleted everything from steam, if anyone wishes to upload JSOC to their own steam workshop, knock yourselves out, just credit as per normal.

    Petty cool concept, although I'm almost 100% sure that any sort of "tactical" glass would never actually shatter, for the obvious reasons, also 99% of such "goggles" are made from a laminated plastic, and they don't tend to shatter, cool immersion feature, albeit a little unrealistic when it comes to the real deal hardware.

    It's a static animation pack, no reason to add ambient sounds to an animation, not even sure that's possible, you would need triggers and modules.

    You should really be using the diver class, to inherit from, and not B_Soldier_F, and you have the uniform named as the same class as your character, so they're are conflicting with each other. Rename one of them in both parts of the config and the error should disappear.

    If you have specific things in the slots, such as magazines etc, that are not vanilla, and you don't have that addon activated, it will throw up those errors

    The cut sleeve Crye's are from a private addon, the only person who has released a public addon, with cut sleeve Crye's has been myself, using the source files from the SOTG addon, which I also released, with permission from the original creators, Sabre and Ardvaarkdb
  24. He has to give them to you in unbinarised format, so you can remove things such as headgear, change the proxies to that of A3 etc..
  25. Not only that, you would need access to the source files to make it compatible with Arma3
