[WIP] Female base model project
road runner replied to HorribleGoat's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
looking good, next up children?? I'm always wary of entering villages where there's no children playing, it's a good combat indicator things are about to go to shit!! hahahaha -
BHI Mods Discussion thread
road runner replied to Pomi Git's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Then it has no place here in an ARMA 3 addon discussion thread, sorry. Mods, this should be in the off topic section. -
It's the little details that make it al fit in nicely.

on or off, makes no difference, the error still shows using a3syc Tell a lie, with file patching on, the error goes
-
I use the one from exile, Arma3Sync, and checked the options, file patching isn't ticked
-
A3 needs to have women and children models to populate maps
-
I have no clue as to what file patching is or where it's located? Yeah it still works, it's quite funny hearing them swear like fuck !!
-
I like this a lot, it feels more immersive, no idea about file patching but the FOA config.hpp error shows, even when I have the FOA folder in my userconfigs

Only reason I'm testing, as I was awake at the time :D and was trying to sort out a few glitches for Hawaiian. Okay, glitches aside here's my initial take. Uniforms: Very well done, I Run with Real Light, and they look pretty fucking good in game. Vests : Look good, and nothing wrong with the weighting, colours wise they're a very definite GREEN Ops Cores : Again, they look top notch, can't fault them at all. Backpacks: Well they're again top notch, but personally I rarely use them, but in this case, they're sometimes loaded by default, yes there's a random unit generator, it's awesome. I know many of you cannot wait to get your hands on the release of this addon, all I can say is guys, bare with us whilst we smash these small bugs, most of the issues are minor config issues. Put it this way, even though I had a small bit of input with this addon, what Hawaiian has produced here is right up there with the likes of Massi and Co, I wasn't disappointed in the slightest, if anything it's actually much better than what I expected to be released way back a few months ago, for everyone who contributed to this addon, guy's you can feel proud, this is a great looking and feeling addon.
-
I know!! :D I can see this addon being a massive hit, what's more, the vests are ................. wait and see !! hahahahahahhahaa :P
-
A few bugs to iron out, but I can assure you people, you will NOT be disappointed once this is released, it's a great looking addon, well done Hawaiian and the other contributors. .. I'm liking this a LOT!!
-
All you need to do is look back at the great ideas from 2-3 years ago in this very topic header when the game was released, they're just pipe dreams now, some of them looked very promising, like Donny's KSK.. that just dried up, never seen the light of day.

Siege A, without you helping with the configs Hawaiian would have struggled I think, I've seen pretty much what's on offer and all I can say is you've written some awesome scripts, all I pointed out was that he's got everything in the one place, helmets vests, glasses etc, but nothing seemed to be "linked", what I personally do is make the detachable s sub pbo's then bring them all together under one major folder and that way you're packing up smaller pbo's, and not spending a good deal of time chasing errors if it's all being packed under one "folder" type thing. This addon has great potential, I don't think anyone wants to see it fail, I've loved being involved with a small part of this, I've seen Hawaiian come leaps and bounds in the past couple of months, and I know that he's over the moon that you're working closely with him, and that's what I love about this community, not the snidey wee bitchy comments, but when people go out of their way to offer assistance to others. Thanks for being his motivation too. Actually disregard the part about not seeing linked items, I didn't look close enough!!

I've been chatting with Hawaiian today on skype, doesn't appear to be a major drama really :D , one that even a couple of days re writing configs wont sort.

I stopped using A3 addon maker as it's very unforgiving and had been using A2 BinPBO for a few years and since it's been working fine on A3 stuff didn't feel the need to change, same with A2 Bulldozer/O2
-
Windows 10 A2 tools BinPBO zero issues
-
Will there ever be a custom unit maker incorporated into A3 Editors, not like what you can do in VA, but like the old VBS2 where you could create a unit, with drop down boxes, save him and then use him to create groups?
-
Sometimes things just happen and mods fade away never to be seen, or like Warden spending time on other projects, it's just the way modding is at times.. if Warden says he's not killing the mod, that's good enough for me.
-
use BinPBO and don't use the one in A3 tools

Real Light - ReShade Preset by Solano
road runner replied to Solano's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
The same thing was happening to me, the crash, I deleted all the sweetfx stuff from the main folder, then went through the installation as per real Light site, and it now works a treat, what a difference, now playing with the LUT's now to see what one will be my default, no frame rate issues observed at all either. -
If anyone is also running Real Light, again ALL colours will look very very different.
-
can someone do a walk through on how to place these scripts on a single player mission please?
-
Mine are fine, it's BHI's Miller that does that with me.
-
Confirmed, Eden is not functioning after the last build, over 20 maps, all 2D editor only.
-
Also don't forget that the colours you see on screen, are not always the same way the colours show up in gimp, or photo shop, the way the game renders colours, with the various atmospherics can make a vest appear 3-4 different colours depending on the manner in which the light falls on it, just like real life. if the vest colours are so annoying to people, don't download the mod, it's simple. It's like the stuff from CUP's, great effort porting all the gear and vehilces and weapons over, but the uniform colours to me as just way too bright, and fake looking. RVMAT's will also cause issues on how the texture is seen in the game, most people bitch about the default knee pads being too shiny, all down to the default smdi file, it's how the arm flags are shiny too.
