Thats because most CTI servers use the lock on mission start feature to keep players from joining. Playing CTI on OFP reguires a big time investment. 1. Waiting for a new game to start 2. More waiting once you join for them to start the new mission.

Well when I get my Arma2 computer updated with the latest addons I'll play. Faguss is dedicated to fwatch/ofp, I don't think he has ever ventured in Arma land. I have addons downloaded just need to install them, maybe this weekend I'll get it done.

I think either you already had MFCTI116 installed and it's conflicting with the mission, or the mission has a bogus addon requirement listed in the mission.sqm file. Editing the mission is the only way to fix that.

The squad.xml is up to the player to locate the needed file onto a website and enter location in the ingame profile screen. This is like an overlay on the addons. The addon maker has nothing to do with squad.xml's.

CoC uses two scripts, but you also need the addon for the breathing equipment.

It's like I said in my earlier post. All original BIS missions and campaigns have had the mission.sqm files rapified. You need to de-rap the mission.sqm files in order to open it in the game mission editor. Eliteness is the only thing I know of that will do this.

Except for using a squad.xml I don't think it's possible. A texture could be used with the model as a patch or logo, but each player could not select thier own.

There is a control panel external to OFP you need to run and make adjustments.

Hey Overlord, Longtime since I've seen you around here. No Marto sightings in a long time. He stops in here once a year to say hi like Anguis does. Neither have played in years. Since gamespy is gone that's pretty much the end of the OFP MP community I am affraid. Bushwhacker, exec and a few others play on vanilla servers occasionaly Friday nights. You still have the A2 cwr2 server still running? I might give that a go again. I never could connect to the CiA server so I gave up on that.
