Really guys, Alwarren was providing feedback. Feedback is not something that suddenly become pointless when a feature can be removed by deleting a certain PBO. his (good) arguments were directed at the mod's developers in an attempt to convince them. That's legit. That's helping. That's what forums are for. I don't see why he should be bashed in this way by a developer by writing such a pissed off toned post. That was uncalled for. -

Installing ACE3 on a dedicated server brings good results on initial testing. No userconfig is used. -

Since TPWCAS forces stance change, and vanilla suppression does not (except from the inherent stance changes in combat mode) I'm sticking with TPWCAS!!! -
I sure wish Arma 3 had terrain deformation, mud and raging torrents like SpinTires

I was simply referring for the AI irresponsiveness when in Combat mode, and the commanding player/mission designer to force the AI to move fast while under fire. Surely you have witnessed that if you played any scenario that involved commanding AI in combat.

I don't think I have ever witnessed an Arma 3 AI throwing a hand grenade. Not sure about un-modded Arma 2, they definitely threw hand grenades in A2 ASR AI. That might be, but why should it be this way?

I can confirm this. and while we are at the subject, ai accuracy with the first under-barrel grenade shot is insanely accurate. Please lower it a bit.

[SP] Silver Lion - ArmA2 ACR missions remade in ArmA3 with ACR A3

Mission 2: Plays from start to end flawlessly (despite the horrendous AI driving). Mission 3: The mission start with an objective to follow the search dog, but he doesn't move anywhere. Mission 4: Cannot load because it requests the psy landrover replacement (I'm using the latest version of the mission pack). Using no mods other than the required ones. -
We will be honored testing your campaign Lighty! Feel free to send them over to me, but I recommend you open a topic on our mission release board so we could provide feedback in an organized and controlled manner like we did for Fuiba and his awesome Versus PMC coop campaign.

I was referring to reasons why Arma GAMEPLAY is focused on the open terrain way more than on built up areas. I believe that if CQC will become more meaningful by making choices of weapon matter, we will see more CQC missions than are available now. Of course, there's performance as a reason too. -
Here's some feedback gathered during a CiA coop night (first time we don't play a no-respswn, none-coop mission in years!): The mode desperately needs parameters. Time of day, respswn types (I'll get into it soon) and type of available weapons in the arsenal. Respswn: I suggest to allow these options- no respswn. Respswn tickets. And respswn only in base. As for weapons: I suggest to allow an option to include only short range optics, and maybe another option for no optics at all. Well, maybe even pistols only, that would make an awesome game :)

Arma is focused on open terrain very much also BECAUSE it lacks very badly in CQC situations. Adding weapon collision and increased inertia for heavy weapons will help making CQC as much as entertaining as Arma's open terrain combat. -
Thanks Oukej! For me this is THE most exciting feature of the latest patch. I wanted to ask the following question: 1. How close must a passing bullet be to the AI in order to count for suppression purposes? 2. Is there any direct or secondary incentive for the AI to change his stance when suppressed?

I suspect that too, although more testing is needed. Oukej, can you confirm amount of bullets and range from AI to suppress them? I kinda feel that this feature is still at the dark as to how exactly it behaves. We will be able to provide better feedback if we'd know what to expect. On the same note, I think the AI suppression feature is important enough for a thread of its own, just like the other new features' new threads :).

That does not happen unless you use a mod that add auto-weapon lowering. -
Nice :) I Love the Arma 2 soundtrack. Good job Nullrick and Foxhound. Thanks Virtual, glad you enjoyed it, and I think you'd like this one even better ;) (for some reason it doesn't read the thumbnail I set for the video, if anyone knows how to fix that, please let me know)
