soundmod JSRS4 - APEX 1.2
Vibrant_Viper replied to LordJarhead's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I completely agree with Megiddo on this. The helicopter sound can be more aggressive when flying overhead. These beasts make a ton of noise and at the moment I feel like they lack the "oomph" they need when flying overhead.- 1214 replies

Fixed Wing Flight Model (dev branch)
Vibrant_Viper replied to dezkit's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
While speeds have to match the size of the maps, I feel something like this should be considered: (Maybe not the music ;))In my opinion it would really help improving the "feel" of speed. The way the pilots head moves when banking and pulling G's. I hope it could be considered. It could also apply in a similar manner to rotary wing crafts in tight banks through rotor turbulence. What do you think?- 874 replies

JSRS: DragonFyre -- WIP Thread
Vibrant_Viper replied to LordJarhead's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
+1 Most important for me too. It's hard to get right, but JSRS is the best I've found until now and also why I have kept using it through A2 and now A3. -
Oh god please yes

Tactical Battlefield - Upcoming Release Announcement
Vibrant_Viper replied to dr_eyeball's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
This already works as intended in PR:BF2 by forcing a change of gameplay. I think the system has been proven successful. It forces you to get to cover and promotes teamwork and communication. -

Tactical Battlefield - Upcoming Release Announcement
Vibrant_Viper replied to dr_eyeball's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Oh I've been waiting for this since PR:A2 died out! Finally teamwork oriented PVP! It's so nice to see a suppression system, since it completely changes the gameplay and stops a lot of rambo'ing. Good work! And and and ... Not more "everyone has a sniper/scope/NVS" PVP! Man this is going to be a good Christmas after all! -
Character faces...all we gonna get?
Vibrant_Viper replied to Fanatic72's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
No you are not. Also comparing to LA Noire. In that game it would make sense to dedicate the HUGE amount of work needed to create realistic facial expressions since the focus is on the ingame narrative. In a combat simulator? IMO no, not needed. Not that it is any of our responsibility to do, but I wouldn't divert development attention to anything but core gameplay and planned content. Already a huge amount of work I'd much rather see worked on. -
I welcome the new content, but imo those skids makes the "lynx" look a bit like a christmas sled.

Tactical Battlefield - A PvP Gameplay Modification
Vibrant_Viper replied to dale's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I just only found out about this. Nice to see your work for the PvP oriented people! I loved playing PR:A2 with you when that was still populated and would love to play some Tactical Battlefield for Arma 3 too! -
Yes and I think you should look to what .kju mentioned. The singleplayer is running well point says that there is a problem in the syncing. Not saying that it's problem like a bug, but the data transfer between server and clients bog down the fps. At least that's how I understand it. Now I don't have any technical knowledge of the game, but I do see that when playing solely on TvT servers the FPS is amazing. When AI is introduced it quickly drops in performance.

Arma needs more arcade-like options....
Vibrant_Viper replied to bvrettski's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I like when they changed that you had to stand still when reloading to being able to run while reloading (That's a while ago). In the same way I like what they have done with regards to movement and physx. What I like about the game is that to have "fun" you need to work together and have a community/group of individuals who are like-minded. The fact that such a situation requires a larger investment of your time is, in my opinion, all okay. Also I don't buy the argument that such entertainment requires "closed" communities and locked servers in order to function. I've been playing with the lovely community from The-Wrecking-Crew who has an A2OA server with ACE/ACRE that is DEDICATED to being an open public server. I see new people joining regularly and getting the help needed to understand ACE/ACRE and the teamplay/tactics, all taught and guided by the people who frequent the server. I'm unsure if I'm allowed to name communities. If I'm not then I'm sorry and will of course edit. -
I think its so much fun. Its a good blend between the realism ideas (iron sights, damage system etc.) and the more fast paced gameplay. There aren't many bugs for this release being the first public one and the INS team have already posted updates about the next patch. The graphical content is extraordinary. I have yet to see a hl2 mod with such great original graphical levels, models and not to be forgotten, sounds. The detail level and size of the maps does make an impact on the graphical performance, but even though you turn down the some of the eye candy (The INS team have focused a lot on the function "Colour Correction" which really makes the game beautiful, but also absorbs some fps.) the game seems a lot more original than the majority of hl2 mods because of the vaste of new content. Give it a try. Don't expect it to be flawless. Don't expect it to be like ofp/arma. But do expect it to be entertaining and challenging.

Isn't he talking about the animation errors=? I think there are about 4 threads about the movement and animations linked to movement. Try and search for them and see if they describe your problem. If they do then its not your rig. or version/installation then its the game.
