    Decided to post a FAQ for some questions that keep popping up a lot: (Will link to it on the first page) What does this mod do? * As said in the info/description, it adds a Russian faction fit for the 2035 era. But RHS already exists, what is the point of this mod? Isn't this mod just a cheap knock-off? * No. RHS is a total conversion adding 3 high quality factions (including the modern day Russian Army) while we mostly just focus on putting the Russian Armed Forces in the 2035 era, so it could seamlessly stand right next to the vanilla BIS factions (NATO, AAF, CSAT). As you can see, both mods focus on fundamentally different re-enditions of the Russian Army. We also try to keep it as close to vanilla and optimized as possible to assure good performance (polygon count, texture size like BIS units etc.). My weapons are missing optics/sights * I am gonna assume you are using CBA/ASDG? If that is the case, you have the use the special ASDG config which is included in the \Arma 3!Workshop\2035 RAF subfolder, and replace the one in the "Addons" folder with it. Do you plan on adding XY * We mostly try to stick to our own plan (which means for example unique counter variants to BIS vehicles etc.) and have already plenty of requests and suggestions. It's more than likely that the request you've made has already been asked (and answered). Will it be compatible with XY * Most likely no. Right now it is compatible with ASDG and ALiVE, which were added due to the popular demand in the early days of the mod. We simply don't have enough time or manpower to provide compatibility with every mod out there. But you are more than welcome writing your own compatibility patches. :) How can I support you? * Feedback and perhaps a positive rating (if you liked it) and a Favourite on Steam Workshop, spreading the word, using our mod for missions/videos etc. will always warm our heart and motivate us.     New update is currently has been released! Tanks DLC features and a lot of stuff that has been tweaked, fixed or outright reworked. :) See the changelog and pics for details. (Dropbox and Steam Workshop links on the first page updated. Working/waiting on the rest.) Changelog: VERSION 5.1.0 (12-05-2018) - Completely reworked and recreated new vests in multiple variants and camo. - Reworked helmets, backpacks and other gear. - Tweaked textures for ground troops (sampling, "worn out" looks etc.) - Tweaked textures for weapons (lowered shininess etc.,) - Added new 1P-87 sights. - Tweaked the driving model for all vehicles. - Enhanced destruction model and hit points for all vehicles (ground and air) - Added SLAT grids and ERA armor for heavy armor, to up it to the Tanks DLC standard. - Tweaked the looks and attributes of rockets and projectiles. - Tweaked functionality of the SHORAD system for Pancir-S1, so that it's close to reality. (rockets being used for detection on long distance, but still balanced for core gameplay. Cannons for closer distance.) - New ported UAV drone Pchela-1T. - Tweaked config for ground units and all vehicles, so that it is balanced for the base game (skill, endurance etc.) - Removed special/optional config for CSAT replacement. (it is planned as an independent mod now). Uniforms and gear still included. - Fixed all reported and newly discovered bugs. - Fixed, tweaked and reworked a lot of other stuff that I don't remember right now. :) - All is fully compatible with base game and all DLCs.

    I guess that makes sense. Pity it was never finished but oh well :) Also, just wanted to ask another thing: Does anyone know if it's possible to tailor the definitions replacement file to my own taste? I tried using it to replace all the US Soldiers with HYK models, but can't quite figure out how to make the special HYK 'Sections' work in it. As in, the "model=blabla.p3d" works, but the HiddenSelections do not since I need to define the said 'Sections' somewhere in the 'definitions' file. But can't wrap my head around it.

    Sorry for ressurecting this thread, but I noticed there was an option in the settings.sqf file that (apparently) added rucksacks to the AI. Yet after setting it true, the AI soldiers don't seem to have any? Am I missing something here?

    Hey there. Thank you for your suggestions. But for now we are not planning on expanding the artillery part of the mod. We wanted to mainly wrap up the equipment and armament so that it could be comparable to/complement the core vanilla BIS factions (plus the desert and winter versions as a bonus). But maybe in the future? :) Right now we are focusing on fixing stuff, especially physics, models and some other things that need our attention. Also the drones, to make the faction complete.

    Sure, go right ahead. :) Thank you. We eventually concluded that is a correct assumption and also managed to dig out some newer videos where they talk about the tank in detail - confirming the coaxial PKTM port. So yeah, the coax MG is going to be included in the next version. :)

    Thanks. Looks like a completely different (new?), modernized version of Kamov. K-52M or something like that? We'd probably have to remake the entire heli (since the one in the mod is an older different model), for which we currently don't have time. :/ Unless the basic version with 6 pylons also exists, in which case it would be just a question of adding them. We'll definitely keep this one in mind though. Thanks for the heads up. :)

    Hey there. Well from this very thread and our own research we had some very conflicting information regarding the coaxial machinegun. Some website talks about it, some doesn't etc. I mean, it wouldn't be very hard to add it - we just need to be 100% sure about it. I got this link for example, that (apparently) speaks for the coax: https://vpk.name/library/f/armata.html and then there is this, earlier from the thread: etc. etc. Do you by any chance have any definitive source? It would help a lot. :) Gasmask are possible. Although not quite sure about their function apart from being purely cosmetic. Can you be also a bit more specific about the 6-pylon version of KA-52. Just need to know if such variant exists. :)

    Thank you very much! Thanks! To you too, guys:) We also wanted to add a front FFV function for the Kamaz trucks as well (hence the hatch above the passenger seat), but didn't manage to do it on time before Christmas which was our target date. Next update, hopefully.

Changelog: VERSION 5.0.0 (21-12-2017) - New Winter pack with a new camo/cover model and other winter accessories. - Added some weapons in winter camo. - Added vehicles and armor with two winter camo options - basic white and "Arctic". - Added a new desert camo.     Nice. I think Liberation mod included these too. I kinda tried to merge them with various mods (mostly WW4 and PRMod) but always failed because the instructions are in russian, and even with google translate I am not very good at this. :/

    Huh, okay this seems like a strange bug. I don't remember Alive acting all wonky around case sensitive words? Will try to check it out myself when I'll get back home to my PC.

    It's actually 5.45x39. And it's the caliber AK12 uses. To my knowledge, only AK15 is the one using 7.62x39. Don't know yet if we'll be adding it. I personally wouldn't be opposed to that. But as a I mentioned before, Mindas seems pretty adamant on keeping the "ArmA3 fictional counterparts" out of the mod. Again, we'll see. Umm, Grom are Polish special forces. Why would we be adding them to a Russian-centric mod? Unless you meant the BMP/BMD one. :D EDIT: Ok, I got a heads up from a friend that there is a GROM detachment within the Russian police forces (FSKN Anti-drug unit).     Oh Oh, also regarding that - we had this as a source, hence the 'Turn Out' position. (finding stuff about the Russian army and armament is actually somewhat difficult lol)

    Uploaded a quick hotfix for the T-15 tracks animation bug. To anyone who has downloaded the mod from Dropbox or PlaywithSIX, re-download it again please. :) VERSION 4.0.1 (23-09-2017) HOTFIX: Fixed T-15's tracks animation going backwards. @drebin052 Thanks for the reports. They have been acknowledged and are being worked on. However, with the GRAD you are supposed to use the "Artillery computer" action, not the ironsight/M2 for the turret camera. Also, can't do much about the T-14 turret. Since the tower is controlled remotely by the gunner who is down below, he therefore cannot turn out and keep the gun static which is what would happen for every crewmen when the commander peeks out.
