Yes it is a problem for most of us users with high-end computers. You can't run all on MAX. And you want to run ArmA2 on MAX, then you have to live with that you get low FPS. Even on my system, i can't run all the settings on MAX. -

Hi. Try 800x600 Full Screen, not windowed. Sometimes windowed make it worse. But that is different from hardware to hardware. Make sure you are not running lot of other programs in the background, and try also to turn off your antivirus and other realtime scanners. -
Ok, Im annoyed.. Poor Preformance with ACR.

You can also try to reinstall your GPU drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-301.42-whql-driver.html And after that reinstall DirectX 9.0: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 -

Hi. Have you installed the latest AMD Chipset Driver for you motherboard? May i ask what REV (version) your MB is? (rev.1.0, rev.1.3, rev.1.4 or rev.1.5) You can also try this driver from AMD: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx But first try the one that are from your MB: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3475#dl for GA-880GM-UD2H rev.1.0 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16) (All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.) -

Video Setting Lock Cannot Go Above Normal for Video Memory
MJK-Ranger replied to jcmomo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
This sounds more like a computer issue. I have 8GB of RAM and in my dxdiag it shows Approx. Total Memory 4042 MB and dxdiag has nothing to do with ArmA2. ArmA2 don't change your "Approx. Total Memory". This is some kind of hardware/computer issue. The Approx. Total Memory means that is the total memory from Dedicated Video Memory + Shared System Memory = Approx. Total Memory My dxdiag: Running the Microsoft DirectX Diagnostic Tool may show the incorrect total memory under the Display tab for the video card, as shown in the below picture. In this example, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 with 2048MB of video memory is being reported as 4042 MB approx. total memory. This is only the "approximate" total of memory the video card is using and will include not only the total video memory but also the shared system memory in the computer. Viewing the display properties for the video card will break down how the memory is used as shown in the below example. As can be seen in the below picture, the adapter properties show that the dedicated video memory as well as shared system memory. -

Hi. Yeah that is strange. Maybe if you can, try to not run in SLI. Only use one GTX 590 and test again. I can send you a image of my NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL settings. I think it still on default. http://s9.postimage.org/6ct5pbarz/image.png http://s9.postimage.org/d4o65wp5b/image.png In the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL, you can try to change "Power Management Mode" from ADAPTIVE to Prefere Maximum Performance. Prefere Maximum Performance: maintains the card at it's maximum performance state when 3D applications/games are running regardless of GPU usage, which can increase power consumption. And when i'm running the E08 Benchmark. My CPU don't work much, Core 0 = 90%, Core 1 = 20 - 40%, Core 2, 40 - 70% and Core 3, 40 - 70% and my GPU load is around 30 - 60% Well i know that ARMA2 love CPU power :) But you had yours OC to 4.2Ghz? And it should not be so much different from 4.5Ghz. And look at this: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/99?vs=288 It's not much different from your CPU and my CPU at stock speed. -

And here is my ingame settings: http://s9.postimage.org/cuqrgpn5b/arma2_settings.png (461 kB) The E08 Benchmark i have 60 FPS. Maybe you should try do disable HT (Intel HT Technology) in your BIOS if you have it enable and make sure you set (RESTORE) Global Profiles to default settings in your NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL. -

Hi. It could be my CPU, but before i had a GTX 285 and it didn't run at 60 FPS. And your GPU card kick my GPU down somewhere. The 590 is a very good card :) You may take a look at this site, comparison between you card and mine. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/516?vs=598 And here is my ingame settings: http://s9.postimage.org/cuqrgpn5b/arma2_settings.png (461 kB) -

Hi. This is strange, i'm sure you should go back to v.296.10 WHQL. I don't have any problems with 301.42 WHQL, and i'm running ArmA2 at 60 FPS all the time. -

Hi. You can download the newest battleye client dll from http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma2oa/BEClient.dll for ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead. For ArmA2 use this, http://www.battleye.com/downloads/arma2/BEClient.dll Make also sure that you are running your game as administrator. Also make sure that your firewall or router are NOT blocking battleye from communicate.

Hi Dwarden. Here is the nvidia Inspector ArmA2:OA profile + nvidia Inspector v.1.9.6.4 http://verzend.be/hndt5htqzj2o/ArmA2_OA.zip.html First thing you need to do is to install the new nVIDA beta drivers v.301.24 After install, open up your nVIDA Control Panel (right click on your desktop) - Then in the nVIDA Control Panel select "Manage 3D Settings" from the upper left sider. - Then click on the "Global Settings" tab and hit "RESTORE" and apply the changes. Install your nvidia Inspector that i have included in the link above. Just unpack and put it in some new folder somewhere. Then start nvidiaInspector.exe Follow the red line and click at that icon to open up the profiler. Then click on the import icon. The browse to your ArmA2_OA.nip file that i have included. You will get a message that says "Profile(s) successfully imported!" Then hit the "Apply changes" on the right corner. -

You don't need more. It runs so smoothly here. You don't have that FPS peek up and down, when you had vertical sync on (60 FPS)
