Yes it is a problem for most of us users with high-end computers. You can't run all on MAX. And you want to run ArmA2 on MAX, then you have to live with that you get low FPS. Even on my system, i can't run all the settings on MAX. -

Hi. Try 800x600 Full Screen, not windowed. Sometimes windowed make it worse. But that is different from hardware to hardware. Make sure you are not running lot of other programs in the background, and try also to turn off your antivirus and other realtime scanners. -

You can also try to reinstall your GPU drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-301.42-whql-driver.html And after that reinstall DirectX 9.0: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 -

Hi. Have you installed the latest AMD Chipset Driver for you motherboard? May i ask what REV (version) your MB is? (rev.1.0, rev.1.3, rev.1.4 or rev.1.5) You can also try this driver from AMD: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/raid_windows.aspx But first try the one that are from your MB: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3475#dl for GA-880GM-UD2H rev.1.0 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16) (All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.) -

Video Setting Lock Cannot Go Above Normal for Video Memory
MJK-Ranger replied to jcmomo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
This sounds more like a computer issue. I have 8GB of RAM and in my dxdiag it shows Approx. Total Memory 4042 MB and dxdiag has nothing to do with ArmA2. ArmA2 don't change your "Approx. Total Memory". This is some kind of hardware/computer issue. The Approx. Total Memory means that is the total memory from Dedicated Video Memory + Shared System Memory = Approx. Total Memory My dxdiag: Running the Microsoft DirectX Diagnostic Tool may show the incorrect total memory under the Display tab for the video card, as shown in the below picture. In this example, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 with 2048MB of video memory is being reported as 4042 MB approx. total memory. This is only the "approximate" total of memory the video card is using and will include not only the total video memory but also the shared system memory in the computer. Viewing the display properties for the video card will break down how the memory is used as shown in the below example. As can be seen in the below picture, the adapter properties show that the dedicated video memory as well as shared system memory.
