    CoD: Advanced Warfare

They should do full nano suit for the exoskeleton... the current one look too prototypish or only useful for behind the lines guys in supply depot or such that needs to do some heavy lifting

    Development Blog & Reveals

Damn, I forgot today is April fool's day... I almost got excited and depressed and the same time... But on the upside, did you guys watched the video? That is a good demo of new/updated/improved animation. Any animators around that can shed some light of what we're seeing and what the future could hold for the modders?

    Ukraine General

I remembered japan was pushed against the wall with oil embargo and got so desperate that they invaded oil rich south east asia. Just saying sanctions and embargoes are nice and all, but better be prepared for war. Putin doesn't seems really afraid to use its military. Sorry for my pessismistic view

    @vilas, MistyRonin was being sarcastic.
  7. Hello all, just came across this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/223830/?snr=1_7_15__13 It's said to be a proper X-COM remake, but having never played x-com before, I couldn't tell. But what I can tell is it is fun. The ground combat is turn-based and it feels like Jagged Alliance 2, so for me it is a plus. It's still in early-access stage at $19.99, but for me it's playable enough, don't have that many crash or things like that.
  8. About the siderolling, occasionally I noticed the AI siderolling in-place, meaning they do the rolling animation, but they did not displace...
  9. I just saw the AI side-rolling, is that bCombat doing or the recent change in dev branch patch?

    ARMA 3 and Razer Hydra

I just found this video: SKLv8tyL2vU Does it work with ARMA 3? It's basically a controller, maybe can replace mouse & keyboard in terms of aiming and movement for infantry, and the thumb stick can be use as a commo rose (if that ever gets implemented)

    Blastcore: Phoenix 2

It's really good so far, For the smoke screen effect, I tend to agree that it's too much. vanilla got it right. Another thing that I think vanilla got it right is the MBT main gun firing effect...

    General Discussion (dev branch)

There's something wrong with stone walls that are littered around Altis, driving in a tank I will always get stuck... just like the AI does. The tank will go over the wall for a moment and then stuck halfway... most of the time the road wheels of the tank is inbetween of the wall, It's like the tank sunk into the wall and the road wheel is stuck in between of the wall (which shouldn't happened because of the tracks) [edit] apparently you will only get stuck if you go over the wall slowly... If you gained speed and go over the wall, you will get over it most of the time. But if you stopped in front of a wall then move forward to climb it, the you'll get stuck. You can reverse though, just not forward.

[WIP] bCombat infantry AI Mod [SP]

Yeah... the problem with mixed feelings, is that its mixed. sometimes it feels good, sometimes it feels weird... I sometimes have that coloured teams converge at a position when I ordered them to move to a position, and when they're there, they wont dispersed, sometimes fell victim to friendly fire. Unfortunately it didn't happened everytime... so yeah. It's hard to put it in objectively...

[WIP] bCombat infantry AI Mod [SP]

with recent beta patch. the AI feels much better in vanilla. Much for fun commanding it. With bCombat, I have mixed feelings. Will report more later
  19. Yeah, having flashback when hearing gunshots in those woods/jungle. So real
  20. I stumbled upon this 'game', Juniper's Knot a free visual novel. Quite an interesting story, nice story, nice music and art. Then I go ahead and bought Dysfunctional System from steam. They are from the same maker. Very nice story, music and art. It is linear, (though Dysfunctional can have 2 different endings) and nothing resembles any kind of 'gameplay' other than clicking the mouse button to read the next line of text/dialog. Basically that's what you do in this game - just read. And I find it quite interesting, thanks to the storyline. Dysfunctional System has around 1+ hour worth of reading (gameplay) and COD maybe 3+ hours. Both are linear, both have quite an interesting story. But COD is $60 and Dysfunctional System is just $5... Of course those are two different games, but if storyline is what you're after then might as well get a movie/book or a visual novel. But of course, I also play COD for its visual and sound effects, and the joy of shooting poor pixel men. It's just that I find myself feeling kinda weird for liking this kind of 'game'. Anyway, are there any fans of visual novel in this forum? If you're into VN, I highly recommend Dysfunctional System - I find myself reading over and over again, even if I already know the story... not the same with movies or games. Reading has different feeling to it... oh well, cant wait the episode 2
  21. Only one thing will happen: Mod-makers goes crazy regarding this: Are you volunteering to be the project lead?

The what have you bought thread

I just bought this, http://store.steampowered.com/app/248800/?snr=1_7_15__13, a visual novel. My first dive into this new genre, never really heard about it before. Very good story, nice music also. Cant wait for the 2nd episode

Arma 3 Steyr Aug Pack 1

Yep the ejection port should be on the right, and the charging handle should be on the left

Arma 3 Steyr Aug Pack 1

I like this handgrip. It's surprisingly comfortable when you grip the 'trigger guard' instead of the foregrip. Don't know why, but probably you can rest your elbow in your stomach. Generally I like the AUG, all the working parts are at the rear making the center of gravity, just nice for a user to hold it... even if its heavier than an M16A1, but I just don't feel the weight when lugging it around.... But I anyway, just my personal experience. I just like the current hand anim grip

ArmA III automatically change my textures settings

I don't know if its a bug or intended, but with my rig, my texture setting always drop from very high to high when in an fps intensive environment like in towns, under trees and such. You will notice a bit of stutter then when you check the video settings, sure enough its downgraded to high, and no longer can pick very high. To get it very high again I can do two things, restart the game or disable AA press ok then go back to video settings and you'll see your texture setting is already at very high. So for now, I play with AA disable.. still look gorgeous enough though Another culprit is shadow setting, for me, even with AA disable, when shadow goes higher than v high, the texture detail will downgraded
