    The AA pod

    Indeed.
  2. I've encountered another bug, which may have been random: Oh, and some equipment I've picked up hasn't been available in subsequent missions (for example a pair of NVGs). Also, it would be nice if the game would remember my weapon choice, so I don't have to pick it up before every mission.
  3. Loving the music and atmosphere on the whole so far, especially in mission 2. :) Dialogue is good aswell. A pleasent surprise.
  4. You're running around with a Staff Sergeant Adams. That's the one they're referring to.
  5. ^^ This. Deleted some posts. Any further attempts to derail the thread will not be tolerated.
  6. Can you check which process is consuming so much memory? (Task manager.) Arma3 alone normally shouldn't be able to. (32bit exe is limited to 4GB.) EDIT: quoting for new page, just in case anyone misses it:
  7. Yes, according to the changelog. (Haven't tested it myself though. Downloading as I type this.)
  8. Please post any feedback related to the campaign episode in > this thread <. As stated there, please try to avoid mentioning any spoilers, but if you do have to write something "spoilery", put it in spoiler tags. ;)

More cause for speculation. ;) Since he starts talking about community mods almost immediately afterwards, my guess is that it might be related to joining modded MP servers. (Auto-downloading and/or auto-enabling/disabling of mods etc. Or perhaps an official external launcher + MP browser akin to Play WithSix, as some people have suggested.) Or maybe it's just a coincidence. :D
  10. Pretty much nothing - therefore I have moved the clipping discussion to its own thread.

Custom Logos on helicopters in MP

As far as I know it's always whitelisted, since each player must have an entry with his unique ID.
  12. According to NVIDIA, at the "maximum" quality setting it should have no more than a 5-10% performance impact. It's in the linked article.

    Development Blog & Reveals

A seemingly minor change, but actually incredibly useful. :)
  14. Has nothing to do with the dev branch, moving to general discussion.
  15. I originally merged your thread into the dev branch AI discussion (since it has "AI" in the title), but it turns out your report has nothing to do with the AI. What you are experiencing is ARMA's revolutionary "not shooting out of your eyeballs" feature. Not a bug. As for rifles clipping, that's a separate issue. (That also has nothing to do with the AI.) Closing.

    Can you elaborate on that?

    Terrain Improvement (dev branch)

Some useless spam posts deleted and the offenders' posting privileges in this thread revoked. If the people in question intend on making sensible contributions to this discussion at some point in the future, they can contact a moderator first.

    Terrain Improvement (dev branch)

This thread is going way off the rails, and I would almost be inclined to close it if it wasn't such an important subject. So let's just clear something up: NordKindchen does not owe anyone here anything, nor is he obliged to justify his decision to stop working on something he does in his free time. Now, please stick to the subject.
  21. Just saw this on Twitter. A typical case of the Streisand effect. :D
  22. Possibly WIP features are not the subject of this thread (nor this subforum), and since the devs are being tight lipped about the features they are working on, asking about them here is unlikely to yield any kind of confirmation. Please stick to the topic at hand.

    Development Blog & Reveals

"Poor state" as in bugs and performance issues in the engine, neither of which have anything to do with map designers. Artists don't fix engine bugs, they create content. If "BI becoming like EA" means not having their artists sitting around and twiddling their thumbs until certain people think it's appropriate for them to start working on new content, I welcome it.
