Finally the armoured cars are useful and are able to actually survive trips over the whole island without loosing tires! (with a bit of a luck). Great changes!

I cannot wait for the fatigue system to come back. It was game-changing.

Sure, we have to wait and see.

Yes. I cannot imagine how complicated this is to be programmed properly (you must count visual clutter and how the brain works into considerations).

Agreed. Everything engine-wise (AI and fatigue especially) is now more important than content.

Do you even read the changelogs? There has been a significant change that is going to be used for another sound features in the future: Sound: Added: APO fadeout effect

Wait a minute, are you trying to say that AI is not using prone position at all? I have not been playing for few months so have no idea what is happening.

I really don't like the edgy design of the NATO plane but enjoy the rest of the new models. Oh, and the hotel location is really well done. It will be great for CQB. Very special feel. Good job, guys.

AI not being affected by almost all enviromental effects
Bouben replied to fons's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I don't believe they can see through the foliage nor terrain (this was fixed a long time ago if not mistaken) but believe the spotting distance in fog is wrongly configured and should not be hard to fix. -
This editor feature would be amazing. Much more practical. Great idea.

Will we ever see a stable multiplayer running at 50-60 fps?
Bouben replied to Holden93's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Guys, same as with audio quality etc. everyone has its own standard for FPS requirements in games. I can personally see a huge difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS and would prefer 60 FPS all the time but I cannot say that 30 FPS is not playable. For me, it is perfectly playable though a bit less enjoyable than the full 60 FPS experience. So don't argue about something so completely subjective. It is a waste of time. To each his own. And yes, I agree that a game on a really high-end setup should be able to run 60 FPS because there actually are customers that can really see and feel the difference. For them, it really matters and it is really shaping their experience with the product. Not sure if technologically possible in Arma's multiplayer though. -
Thank you for calming us down! :)

Well, the new radar system is a complete nonsense if it does not affect AI. I, too, don't understand why it was implemented in such incomplete form. Also, is it at least optional?
-
Can anybody please explain the radar fix? What impact on the gameplay it should have? Thanks!
-
Thank you for the details. I am judging it only as an end user experience. There is not enough difference (or no noticeable difference at all) between the two extreme settings. In other words, it has not enough impact on gameplay for me. In other words, the precision slider seems to be quite useless right now. I think that should be changed so that we can have skilled AI but less sharpshooting.

"No target" command should work for this. ---------- Post added at 19:01 ---------- Previous post was at 18:59 ---------- Or if the lights simply "remembered" in what state a player left them before exiting the vehicle (if the driver seat is empty of course).

Thanks Coulum, unfortunately as I have already written to oukej, restarting a mission (even restarting a game) has no effect at all in my game. I am still unable to see any difference between different settings. Really strange.

So, guys, because I don't see any impact of precision settings on my gameplay can you share you experience so far? Is it functional for you? Please, don't confuse it with skill setting. Thank you! EDIT: Yes, I restart mission everytime I change the precision slider settings. Still no effect in my game.

Oukej, thanks for the info. However, when I check my Arma3Profile.cfg I have now these lines in the code: skillFriendly=1; skillEnemy=0.9000001; precisionFriendly=0.99999994; precisionEnemy=0.82000011; aiLevelPreset=3; skillAI=0; precisionAI=0; Does it make any sense? SkillFriendly and SkillEnemy is still 0.9 while skillAI is 0. PrecisionFriendly and precisionEnemy are also different than precisionAI. Also, since beta, I am still unable to see any difference between Precision 0 and Precision 1 in my tests. The shooting and accuracy is almost the same and random with both settings. No night and day difference that would make sense for novice players. Please note that I always restart a mission when changing those values, so there should be no problem. Thank you in advance. ---------- Post added at 15:00 ---------- Previous post was at 14:52 ---------- EDIT: Only presets seems to have some impact but that is probably more connected to skill than precision. Anyway, there is definitely something strange with it.

"Fixed: FIA units are now available only for BLUFOR" Oh, please not this. I enjoyed using FIA as a proper insurgents in Zeus against BLUFOR. There are no comparable alternatives for OPFOR :(

If the engine on/off is still essential for being targeted on the radar then yes, that is a critical feature.
