That's cool, I'm looking forward to them!! :) Thanks, canis! -
Wow..... This is absolutely frickn GREAT, guys!!!! Now you left me becoming unpatient!!! :D Thanks for the video! Good weapon sounds from what I can hear. And the "island" / world looks devastatingly great! I wonder how the performance on it is (at least it seemed not very very good in the video sometimes but it could be the vid itself). And the "returning to aim" of the rifle the player held seemed to be a bit slow. But sorry for going into small details, I'll just watch it again now and enjoy it! :) Keep it up!!

Post-Apocalypse mod
Undeceived replied to canis lupus's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
The reason why I ask is because I'm converting my old A1 mission (see sig) to Arma 2 and I would really need those "run-down", sleazy and poor resistance-fighter-looking units, you know what I mean? Resistance fighters who don't have proper uniforms / protection clothes nor good weaponry, but only self made light stuff like belts, school bags, etc... Examples (A1 version): I just loved them!!! :D And for a second mission I am making I used your A1 units which looked simply like poor and dirty "worker-civilians" (if you compared them with e.g. Schnapsdrosel's civilians with adidas sweaters, new and high quality clothes...). Your units fitted perfect for a story about poor underdog guys with outworn and simple clothes. This is why I loved your A1 version of the mod. Hope to see such units back in! *thumbsup* -
Thanks, norrin, for your answer! Yeah, would be cool if there was a workaround, because if not then the script would be quite useless for civilians without rifles. If the solution with the animations doesn't work, maybe a "dirty" workaround could be to make and give the civilian an invisible rifle, so that he has something in his hands and does the animation, but only the player can't see it. :) Thanks anyway, mate!

Arma 2 Addon request thread
Undeceived replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Yeah, hair animations would be cool (also for women, of course). But I would give a crate of beer to the one who would convert the island of Schmalfelden to Arma 2, so that you don't need the CAA1 (which is quite big). :) :) Just the island... :) -

No, I'm one of the rather oldscool people. :D I need a original DVD in a original cover. (ok, maybe I'll print out one of those user made covers, cause I don't like the original one, but...) No download! -

Hi norrin. Is there a way to make it possible to drag / carry people without the one who carries having a gun? I made some tests and had the following results: When I (as player) am completely unarmed and choose to drag an injured person, the injured one is normally attached to me after the normal lifting animation but I can't move. I can turn around (and with me the attached injured) but I can't move at all. Then when I choose to carry the injured unit, my unit plays the lifting up to shoulder animation normally but again, movement is not possible. However when I have a pistol (no rifle) and choose to drag the injured, the moving stangely works. But you have to press "Drag body" option twice because of some weird gun changing animations... After that the dragging process works normally. Changing to "Carry Person" and moving around works fine having the pistol in the gear. Something that may hopefully help you in finding the bug is that even though there is no gun visible while dragging or carrying (your hands are empty), the pistol is yes armed. That means that if you click to shoot, a shot will come out of your empty hand and you also see your finger pressing the gun trigger. Is there a way to solve this? Maybe adding something like a invisible gun to the unarmed when he chooses to drag? No idea... Thanks for your help!

Did you notice that the fashion model's rifle even is on safe mode? ;)

Undeceived replied to jerryhopper's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
No! That hair style is one of your trademarks, in my opinion! :) -
These look perfect, EricM! Great "mod"! :D Much much better than the BI one with that "fashion model" that pretends being shouting and being in combat action...

Jerry, "Good morning Sahrani" was one of the absolutely best thing in the whole ArmA community. :D It was just great, I really enjoyed it!! :D Oh, somany times I sat there and thought about this show, I really missed it! You passed through a hard time and it is good that you recovered from it all. I wish you that things keep going well like now. And congrats because of your Miss's Hopper! ;) See you, man!

When I read this I was like "WHAT??" and rewatched the video again and have to say (disappointed) that they don't speak German. Neither in the Hind (before the Javelin) nor when the KSK soldiers are shown. :( I ask myself if BI will include other languages than English into the game, like they did for Arma 2 (Russian and "Chernarussian" ;)). This would be absolutely awesome! It would just not fit if e.g. the Takistani speaked English. :)
