  2. Oh yes, I got a response from Gunter S. Could anyone tell me how to enable paradrops on the c-47 via the eden editor? I have tried using the RHS paradropping script, however this only uses the D5 russian chute. I tried the legacy para-dropping script that is used on the c130, however i dont think the script gets recognised as the c47 has a couple of seats/steps before you can 'eject'. Is the issue with the para-dropping related to the author removing his paratrooper skins/textures from the base IFA3 mod? Thanks :)

  4. Hi All, I am having troubles getting the paradropping to work with the C47. Does anyone have tips or suggestions? I have tried using the RHS paradrop and this works, however they use the D5 parachute which is the russian chute and not the static line ww2 chute.. Thanks :)

    Arma 3 Specs

    Hi All, Can anyone tell me what machine can run arma 3 optimally? What i mean is, how much fps are you getting in 4k? What are your specs? I am in need of upgrading my 10 year old machine just to run arma 3 in 4k. 1080p is okay but i need to future proof myself here. Can you post your specs and average fps? Has anyone tips on getting a decent computer for arma 3 that the game engine 'prefers'? Thanks
  6. So as of today what is the best spec for arma 3? Like what is the best rig that will run arma 3 4k at an acceptable framerate?? Cpu wise i5 8600k or i7 8700k? obviously the best gpu currently is the 1080ti. Does anyone use SLI/Crossfire anymore or is there no point in it ? I doubt arma 3 uses 2 gpus effectively anyway. I have a hard time with 8gb as arma 3 uses up pretty much everything now on 64 bit. Why would high frequency ram help with arma 3? Would an M2 SSD make any difference than a regular SSD, or is this hardly noticeable?

  8. Hello All, Could you let me know if you're working on or can make a mod for dropping magazines on the floor? Someone did make a bullet casing mod, but i want this to go with dropping magazines on the floor when its empty? As far as I'm aware Arma 3 uses PHYSX, so i really want to see my empty magazine fall to the floor along with the bullets? Can anyone do this ?? I've been waiting for something like this since operation Flashpoint, but it seems nobody can do it - is this an engine limitation or something?

    Okay dude you got me there !! I surrender!! But on a serious note, can we at least have some better reload animations? I know that Arma 3's reload animations have been greatly improved following the marksman DLC. I was hoping that they could allow us to put away empty magazines in backpacks etc then?? Hopefully as an animation or something.... When you reload in arma it doesnt look like you're reloading from a pouch or backpack but its like they pick out/reload the magazine from thin air!!

    Yea its not the best - but i want to be able to fly helicopters and reload guns with rift controllers etc.

    Not tried it since DK2 was released. It probably works a lot better in Vive/Rift now. Use opentrack and find a FOV mod for arma 3 so you can make the FOV match your HMD unit and resolution. I was hoping NeoArmageddon could at least get vive/rift controllers to work with the game (just like the video above). I would then combine it with opentrack for head tracking and vorpx for the rendering and we're all good to go :)

    Vorpx still works tho - i managed to scale it correctly but it took almost a month to get everything "perfect". I havent tried on the CV1 or HTC Vive yet...... i presume its probably alot better now.

    Yes, but if you think about it "Onward" was made by one guy in his spare time. There is lots of replayability on this game, however with an open sandbox like in arma the replayability is limitless. Problem is that VR is still a small market and nobody has invested alot of time into that. Why cant BI make VR a new thing just like they trialed DAYZ - which led to games like PUBG, Escape from Tarkov, HZN1 etc...... I can guarantee the majority of arma players have access to some kind of HMD oculus or VIVE..... we deserve something like this and i dont want to wait for arma 4 till it comes :(

    Hehe dude you're HERE :). That's really nice!! Yea i watched all your videos with "test" of the oculus and arma 3 vr. Aint a clue how you did it but anyway i wanted to say nice work. I read some stuff on another thread that you responded to, but i hope you havent given up on this project!! Please please please could you work on enabling this in arma ?? At least if not the VR then could we get the motion controllers to work with weapons?? I'll use vorpx for the rest !! :) Thanks !!

    Hi There, Yes i've already tried vorpx with arma 3. Well infact i tried it with the DK2. I dont think its still got anything going for it to be honest. Vorpx is a nice tool, but arma isnt really built with vorpx in mind. I get too sick when flying the planes/choppers and it took me a while to get the scaling right. What we need is some modder to implement opentrack and native VR so that we can use the weapons with our motion controllers. I am hoping BI can do a little work to get this functioning......... I cant wait for those arma 3 zombie mods to come out, but more importantly i wanna fight on the battlefield as a regular GI JOE :)
