Hey everyone, Obi here. I am new to modding arma. I just picked up how to do a few basic things and last week I set to learning Blender to do some custom models. What I'd like to do is get a M1919 static weapon system ready to roll to donate towards IFA3's project or to just run as a side mod for that. I've got the model going and the arma tools for Blender as well as the regular arma tools.....the model is still work in progress, but I'm getting close to the point where I feel I should start worrying about what comes next. I did some reading, but I can't really find anything about static weapons. So, here's my questions: 1: Are there any config examples out there for a Static weapon emplacement? I looked around the A3 assets folder, but I haven't been able to find anything like what I'm going for. 2: In modeling, do I need to model the Tripod for the weapon as part of the weapon or a separate entity? 3. Also in modeling, do I need to model the ammo box and belt feeding as part of it or is that another entity as well? Sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere, I searched for a while before making this post. Any bit of help would be great. Trying to learn and all haha. Donnie, are you using the additional building list Cosmic made up a few posts back for Australia? Loot won't spawn in the custom AUS buildings without it.

Oh goodness, my Ravage mod list is quite big. I have CUP, RHS, and the post-apocy skins one. CUP terrains for, well, extra terrains and general quality stuff there. Esseker because, well, its an awesome post-apoc map Australia is the map I've been playing it on the most just because its so big, varied, and has great custom buildings. bCombat for some AI improvement Flay archery for bows EDN Fortification for doing up some quick boards like on windows or something. I haven't tested to see if it'll persist with the Ravage MP persist. MOCAP melee just in case you have to get your hands dirty and don't have a mag. I'd love to see Melee weapons implemented. DDS had a great Ax that I tried to rip but didn't have any luck. Enhanced Movement: Running away from the hoard was never as much fun. This is probably my favorite addition out of all of them just because it allows you to climb up and over things but not unrealistically, Extended Fatigue: I use this to make fatigue act a bit more realistically. Its harder, and you have to walk more, but I like the immersion. A few more, I'm sure.

Cool, I'll do that! I am also working on a script with a buddy to make an infection state that happens randomly when a zombie hits you. There would be a % chance of being infected which would lead to a slow trickle of health. I'm hoping to write in some kind of antibiotics to slow or maybe even 'cure it'. I'll toss it up here if we manage to get it working. He's using making it as a way to teach me more about scripting and modding things in arma so that I might be a bit more help in the community haha.

It has been fixed, but you have todownlaod another pbo and toss it in the addons. IDK why it wasn't just put in there to begin with, but yeah. ALSO: Thank you so much!!

Cool! It would seem that he did change the classnames between the terrain and the standalone mod.

I think I can grab them. Depends on if he kept the name constant between his standalone version of the items and the terrain. I'll get back to you in a tick.

Ahh, okay. Many, many thanks on that! Would it be possible to do similar to get in the custom Australia buildings with the init file?
