Hello, could you try again? IT found an issue and made a small change to your account. If there are any others who find they have this same or similar issue where connecting your BI account to Steam is not working for you, please send me a private message so that it can be looked into.

This should now be resolved. Looks like it was a setting for another section that was accidentally applied during a maintenance to the Arma 3 News sub-forum. -
The Arma 3 Units gets the status of game servers from Steam. Please check that the port needed for steam query/serverlist is ok and not being blocked.

Sending you a PM to help troubleshoot the issue you are having.

Please keep all posts civil and respectful to others. Do not use any flame-baiting, name calling or to get too personal about disagreements or discussions, or there will be warnings handed out with possible forums restrictions. Remember to keep all posts on topic please. Thank you!

There is an issue I just found troubleshooting with another Unit this morning. The clan tag for a Unit cannot end with a period. Please change your clan tag from: NAK Cmd. to: NAK Cmd Without the period at the end. This may be an issue that others will have until it is either fixed in the game, or a restriction is placed on the Arma 3 Units site to not allow for a clan tag to end with a period.

I am not involved with any ban's that might occur on steam workshop so I do not have any specific details, but I will try to see if I can help out here. Are you and your team the original authors of completely all of the content in the workshop item? If you are not the original authors(even just one or more) of items included in it, do you have clear permission from the original authors? The description of the workshop item only stated that people must download it from the workshop and become white-listed on your teamspeak before they can play on your server. There appears to be no description of the contents of the workshop item, who created the items in it: "- Added new vehicles, weapons; - Added some Brazilian vehicles;". There are lots of screenshots for the workshop item showing lots of different models.

Thank you for the feedback. It is planned that in a future update there will be a way to communicate between members of a Unit.

Please use the established squads and fanpages subforum for your recruitment needs and please remember to read the rules there.

Post New Thread Button missing?
BohemiaBeck replied to mdtorch's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE: Web-Pages
Sending you a PM to help troubleshoot what issue you might have. Also, fyi to others, new users are currently no longer completely restricted from posting a new thread in a trial period... a new method has been implemented that should be more user friendly. -
rules ** Rules for the SQUADS & FANPAGES section - READ BEFORE POSTING! **
BohemiaBeck posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Please be aware of the following rules and guidelines that apply to this forum section (Arma 3 Squads and Fanpages): One thread per squad/unit. The one and only exception: if your unit is active in multiple games (e.g. ARMA 2 & 3) then you can maintain separate threads in each of the relevant squad/fanpages sections. Note that different branches of the same unit do not count separately and thus may not have their own individual threads. [*]Announcements in your thread may be posted no more frequently than once every two weeks. That means any new posts in your thread may be created no less than 14 days apart. If you post too early, there's no guarantee that the post will be approved (or when). Its contents may be added to the previous post, or it might just disappear. Announcement posts must contain actual event info, training announcements, new server details or similar news. Simply bumping the thread for the sake of moving it to the top is not allowed. You may edit the existing posts in your thread at any time, as often as you want. If you have to announce something sooner than two weeks after the previous post, edit that post to add the details. [*]No discussions are allowed inside squad threads. Any discussions in threads will be deleted without warning. Users are advised to contact thread authors directly (e.g. via PM) if they have questions. Thread authors, make sure to provide sufficient contact details, as well as links to your website/forums. If you see people posting in a squad/fanpage thread, please use the report function so that their posts can be removed, then contact the user via PM if necessary. Do not respond inside the thread! [*]Absolutely no thread bumping! (That basically means all posts in your thread must comply with rules #2 and #3.) [*]All the usual forum rules apply here too. Including the 100KB image size rule, so make sure to double-check your squad logos, banners etc. [*]All threads must advertise an existing squad or fanpage, and you must be authorized to post about it. In other words, you may only post here to advertise your own squad/page or with permission of the owner/founder. Accordingly, you may not create threads to discuss other people's squads or pages. [*]Do not create a new thread if you are merely looking for a squad. That's what > this thread < is for. The same applies if you're looking for people to form a new squad - please use the aforementioned thread. INFO: This forum is pre-moderated. That means your posts must be approved by a moderator before they appear. Advertising your squad or fan page here at the Bohemia Interactive Forums is a privilege, not a right. Failure to comply with any of the rules listed above may result in your thread being closed or deleted and your posting privileges for this forum section being revoked. Many thanks to @maddogx for these original and clear rules -

Hello, sorry I replied too quickly and only covered how to get the the "join" feature. For the contact unit feature, edit your Unit and on the Basic Info tab, just below the Unit Bio, make sure to have an email address in the "Contact E-mail address" field. The email address you provide is used for the "contact unit" feature.

Bohemia Interactive & NVIDIA present the #Armachinima Awards Create the best cinematic Arma 3 video ever, win a top-tier NVIDIA graphics card Channel your inner-Spielberg, get your Scott on, and unleash the Bayhem. Welcome to the #Armachinima Awards! In this new contest, we’re inviting you to deliver the best Arma 3 cinematic video ever created – to entertain the troops, and to win a top-tier NVIDIA graphics card! What’s a machinima? The dictionary suggests: machinima / məˈʃɪnɪmə / noun: the practice or technique of producing animated films through the manipulation of video game graphics. For the purpose of this contest, an ‘armachinima’ is a directed cinematic video using Arma 3 game graphics. Whether it’s long or short, a full-length feature film, a documentary, a trailer, or even just an ‘experience’ – every type of video is welcome, as long as they have cinematic qualities. So prepare your storyboards, get ready to capture, enlist friends and family for (voice-)acting, and put the Eden Editor to use! But even if you’re not competing, you can participate by voting for the 10 nominees starting from February 14th. Afterwards, the Arma 3 development team will select 3 winners from the nominees, which will be announced in the beginning of March. Aside from glory, 1st place will be awarded a beastly NVIDIA GTX 1080, while 2nd and 3rd place will receive a magnificent NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card. The perfect prizes for those who are into gaming and video production! Additionally, all 10 nominees will receive an Arma 3 t-shirt. To enter the contest, you simply need to send an e-mail to competition@bistudio.com with a YouTube link to your entry AND a download link to the video file itself. Be sure to also include your contact details. The submission deadline is February 13th 09:00 CET (GMT+1). For more info on the #Armachinima Awards, as well as the full set of contest rules, be sure to check our website at www.arma3.com/armachinima-contest. We’ll also be updating this page with the latest entries, so check back regularly and prepare to vote from February 14th. Good luck filmmakers, and for those watching, enjoy the show! “If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed” – Stanley Kubrick
