United States Air Force( 2015)
robert31178 replied to SGT Fuller's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I did notice that the main slider doors were mismatched, but sometimes that happens in real life when they swap parts out. Are you guys going to paint the blocks around the gun mounts and landing gear???? I know you are kidding around with me, but the short answer is yes, of course , I will take any improvement over the already lovely to fly Pavehawk provided by y'all. I know I have been a bit of a pill about the "ride in back" game crash thingy, but the FM and sounds were good to go for me, best UH/MH-HH-60 in the game for me. Best sounding helicopter mod, you have added some radio interference noise concurrent with riding in a heli for real and being plugged into the comms system, and as for any of the -60's I've flown this one felt the best, wasn't twitchy, wasn't overly heavy but wasn't a hotrod like the Little Bird, actually it's the only helicopter I've flown where the anti-torque pedals felt real good, it just seemed like a perfect FM!!! ~S -

Hmmm.....conspicuous absence of the HH-60? Does this mean that the "ride in back" glitch will not be fixed, or possible that this aircraft is being dropped all together by the devs? ~S -
I talk to NightIntruder once in a while, this is DEF not a dead mod. It will be ready when it is ready, NI is a pretty busy fella...... ~S

How come the landing gear looks like it's under load even when the helicopter is flying? -

This will be rad lol. From what I understand the Black Widow II crushed the competition, and then some political agendas pushed the Raptor into production. -

A Tomcat pilot in real life can shoot the 120's and 154's. The RIO was only necessary to run the radar suite. -

Hart, I don't think he is talking about foregoing any of the tech stuff, he is saying they still use flares as a proven way to quickly get your least reliable piece of night gear, the MK I Eyeball, onto target rapidly. I have also used NVG's in my line of work, and flares always helped out even when using the NVG's. The thing with tech is that it's great, but there are still old ways of operating that work marvelously and are practical. -

I remember. I have darn near 2000 hours in Arma 3 in two years and just about all of it is flying a helicopter. I remember learning, hovering and flying, keeping my speed up in a turn, putting a marker down to measure how far out I had to put her into a flare......the cramping hands, the sore shoulders lol, I remember it and it has been an absolute blast. I'm not shitting on the game or the mods the the devs work so hard on. I still grab every helicopter update I see and try them out!!! -

JACD, I didn't compare them lol, there is no comparison. Arma provides a fun immersive helicopter experience without all of the stuff that makes real flying more tedious, and those are things that make DCS boring to a lot of people who are in it for the quick fun of hopping in a heli, pumping the throttle, and making it thrash around like a Mustang with hot sauce on it's mud whistle. -

Here is a USAF bird without doors, not to be that guy....... http://reluctantpaladin.tumblr.com/post/84312775463/lahoriblefollia-sikorsky-hh-60-pave-hawk It's true, the doors, like the rest of the helicopter, provide ZERO ballistic protection. I can see them being removed for weather or pilot visibility, and while I know helicopters need every ounce of weight savings they can get I doubt that is a primary reason for removing them on a helicopter with as much "ass" as the -60 series has on tap!! I'm pretty excited about this mod. Arma helicopters have kinda lost their appeal to me after flying the Huey in DCS for the last few months, and I know that nothing here will ever come close to that, but I do miss the excitement of getting a new helicopter and the rush of flying it when it is actually a nice flying Arma helicopter. Keep up the great work!!!! ~S -

Oh man Pravus, that would be rad. I kinda nerd out when I fly and actually put my rifle and backpack in the helicopter's inventory. Seeing the rifle in a rack would be SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!! -
So the link above is still active on Steam. Does this mean it's a legal upload and people / units can use it without earning any unwanted attention from devs? ~S

I don't think asking if the mod is still being worked on is spam. I know what the moderators are going to say, but honestly if it isn't then we should be told. I click follow on mods I am interested in, and if a mod is not being pushed FWD I like to know so it's one less thing I have to click through. That's my two cents. ~S -

"I promise you it has been answered. Yes the -60 is going to be fixed." That's all I was looking for this whole time!!!!! It wasn't an "I want" situation, it was "are you gonna, or are you not" situation. No timeline requests, nothing. Just "are you" Thanks for the update ;-) ~S
