    Audio Tweaking (dev branch)

Are the interior shooting sounds still WIP? They have a strange metallic reverb that for whatever reason really grates on my nerves. Other that this one issue I really love the audio improvements. The game has come a long way and Tanoa sounds awesome!

    Tanoa discussion (Dev-Branch)

As far as I know there aren't any snakes on Fiji so I don't think there should be any on Tanoa. Sea snakes being the exception. Some feral pigs would be cool though. I keep thinking I hear them in the jungle. It would be super crazy to hear something while on patrol in the jungle only to have a family of them run by! (Edit: Turns out I'm wrong. http://www.ryanphotographic.com/bolo.htm and probably some pets that got loose, but I'd still rather see feral pigs!)

    VON Improvements - Feedback

Please don't do this. I don't want to yell or whisper in real life in order for my game character to yell or whisper. An alternative would be to introduce a in-game volume slider.

    Visual Upgrade – Feedback

yeah, please give us a draw distance so we can see the curvature of the earth! lazy devs ;) I think you're just seeing the horizon of the skybox.

    Visual Upgrade – Feedback

No trouble here. I was just responding to people asking for warm lighting on an overcast day. I really like the new lighting and I'm sure it'll only get better. Keep up the good work!

    Visual Upgrade – Feedback

I get that the sun can shine through clouds, but as far as I know the engine doesn't have clouds that cast shadows. To me those pics look like they're taken on mostly overcast days near sundown. The engine probably says it's 90% cloudy so we'll light accordingly. The sunset images I've seen from Dev when it isn't cloudy look amazing! To me the new lighting seems much more artist friendly. If you want a white building you use a white texture and it'll look correct under all conditions. With the old lighting model everything has a warm tint to it, even in the middle of the day. That's probably why there are so many complaints about it being too cool. It'll take some time for eyes to adjust. Like taking off tinted sunglasses.
  7. Of course you do. Why would you not test your new shading model and engine changes on a map that is supposed to be less demanding. Updating the current game is the perfect way to see what nasty issues pop with a large group of users. It's a DEV branch after all. It seems like a two steps forward one back situation, but give the devs a chance. "your logic is arse-backward"

    Difficulty Overhaul

Any chance the fatigue/stamina will be hooked into the new difficulty settings? I know the new system can be modded, but I play with a group that doesn't use mods and the new system is way too run & gun for my taste. It'd be nice if servers could customise fatigue/stamina how they seem fit without resorting to mods.
  9. I'm telling you it's the spacing/kerning not the font. The image below is the same word but with better spacing. You can try for yourself here http://typecast.com/preview/google/Roboto%20Condensed. Select some text, hit the VA button on the top right, then play with the spacing in the advanced properties window. No font is legible when the letters are jammed together!
  10. I like the font, but the kerning seems really tight. I understand why the devs might need to do this, but it definitely makes the font less legible.

    Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)

How else will Arma become the next big eSport, the old stamina system had to go! ;) Hopefully the addition of analytics proves to BI that no one likes the new system. If players love it then show us the data. Okay the data won't show love/hate, but they should show if it's accomplishing the stated goals.
