Kristian 47 Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Hello everyone. First thing I did when I played Operation Flashpoint at my friend was messing in editor. I fell in love with it, and I just had to get my own copy of OFP, and this dream came true along with new computer in 2003. Since then, I have owned ArmA1, Queens Gambit, ArmA2 and now Operation Arrowhead. Though I have been using the editor alot, I am no scripting wizzard, and still have sometimes hard time getting the mission to work the way I want it to. This is the first mission, I have ever released to public, and if all goes well, I will release more in the future. :) But for now, the reason you are here, my missions: ======================================= ArmA2 Vanilla missions: -Sorry, none available currently ======================================= ArmA2: Operation Arrowhead missions: OPERATION AUTUMN LEAF Description: Nearby villages report night time raids and violence, and we are here to stop it. We have strong belief that small group of local insurgents are hiding in this very town, so keep your eyes peeled. However, the town also populates civillians, so watch what you shoot! You will have 4 Takistani Army soldiers with you, if translator is needed. They will also provide assist if needed. Features: -US Army and Takistani Army as allied forces. -Playable in Singleplayer and Multiplayer as Co-op. -Briefing, tasks and other fancy stuff. -Tons of replayability: Different ways to approach the town, use the team you have under your command to try out different tactics. Known bugs: -Embarrasing typo I found after posting this, will get fixed for next version :p Thanks alot to guys at Armaholic, may this mission be with you... Hillslam 0 Posted July 12, 2010 Well... now I know to shoot at the buildings too... nevertheless, looking forward to playing. Like you, been creating missions nonstop since OFP. However, I released a few very large missions in OFP to the public, that I think were well received, but since ArmA2, QG and OA have not again released a public one, just released for my friends and I to play. I may have to polish a few up and give em wings.
kylania 568 Posted July 12, 2010 I may have to polish a few up and give em wings. Please do! We can never have too many good missions!

jpinard 10 Posted July 14, 2010 Very nice mission Kristian. Can I ask how you placed enemies so perfectly? 3-d editor, or is there a command to get exact placement information when you move a character somewhere?
Kristian 47 Posted July 14, 2010 setting every units position individually via setting this to units init: this setpos [(getpos this select 0),(getpos this select 1), heightvaluehere] but gentlemen, lets not turn this into mission editing discussion, shall we? ;)
kozzy420 21 Posted July 14, 2010 Thanks! Ill check this out!
Zipper5 74 Posted July 14, 2010 Can I just ask why saving is disabled in Operation Autumn Leaf? I managed to eventually wade through all but 1 of the cheating AI held out in the buildings, and spent a good 5 minutes running around trying to find the last guy my team mates were supposedly "engaging". Eventually I did find him, but he found me first and shot me quickly through the doorway. With such a mission, and with the AI acting superhuman inside buildings, it would be nice to be allowed to save. It becomes very frustrating when your only medic is run over by the M113s at the start of the mission and you get injured, then trying to clear out the entire town without being shot because you know you can only take one more, heh. Kristian 47 Posted July 15, 2010 Its such a short mission tbh, and as you, I would of course command my team out of the road where M113 roll around for cheezburgers. ;) and the AI is sometimes really stupid inside buildings. I'll playtest it few more times, and see if addin saving feature is required. Thanks for the feedback, keep it comin'
AnimalMother92 10 Posted August 9, 2010 Great mission, CQB was really fun, I only wish it had been longer. Hope you make more soon.
kurtz1 10 Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) I 2 would like the save feature. There are times when you need to take care of other things. Great mission !!! Edited August 11, 2010 by kurtz1
