How does it work :confused:

I tried this:

ulbq.jpg

But i can only access the ULB from outside the apache. When i get in, the action gets lost.

It only works when i'm already in apache at mission start.

you need to sync the ULB module to the player and the ah-6x

I am still running into an issue. When I sync it with the player, I can only use the ULB when outside the helicopter. So it only works if you spawn as the AH-64 as opposed to a soldier outside of an empty AH-64.

Try this:

Don't sync the empty AH64 to the ULB module but name the ULB and the AH64.

Then write this in the init line of your AH:

ULB_module setVariable ["unitList", [ah64]];

Then do the same as above but create a trigger:

Condition: player IN ah64

Activation: ULB_module setVariable ["unitList", [ah64]];

Every ways which suggested in this thread don't work for me neither.

Yes. First i placed the AH-6X, the ULB-Module and the Apache on the map. Then I synchronized the module with the Apache and the AH-6X, placed some AAs and tanks on the map and it worked. No problems at all

Yeah,I think it's the only way to interact ULB from flying Apatche.

Player who doesn't started as Apatche pilot/gunner can't do so as far as I tried.

what does ULB stand for?

Unmanned Little Bird. It's a remote control Little Bird you can control from your Apache to designate targets for your Hellfires.

You can see it in action in the Boot Camp mission for ULB/UAVs.

  1. Press F1 then place an AH-64D Apache (Player as Pilot, Special = Flying) on the map.
  2. Next place an AH-6X somewhere on the map. (Special = Flying)
  3. Next press F7 and place the ULB module on the map.
  4. Next press F5 and drag a line from the ULB to the AH-6X to synchronize it
  5. Next drag a line from the ULB module to the AH-64D to synchronize it.
  6. Save your mission and Preview it and enjoy. (Scroll Wheel to start ULB)

Anyone knows how to make ULB work after respawn? I used simple respawn script and it works, operator can enter the interface but the problem is ULB respawns as empty so it does not have a "pilot" and therfore cant fly.

By the way I was controlling ULB from player on ground not from Apache.

Im currently trying to do this, create a mission where you start outside the apache then have access to the ULB... maybe I dont know how to specifically write the scripts or what but its not workin for me.

ULB may be listed as one of the "BI just tried to make it and they don't care anymore".

In other words,they don't have enough development resource to solve such a trivial issue.

I never even knew what that helo was used for other than flying two people around as it seemed to us that the FLIR didn't work. Cool concept though!
