I looked at the editing centre but I couldn't find it (possibly not looking hard enough, I haven't slept in a while). Also, does anyone know what the realistic hauling cpacity of a Chinook is? advocatexxx 0 Posted April 17, 2002 Speaking of choppers.. All the choppers in Flashpoint spool their engines up way too fast.. I mean they can get airborne in under 20 seconds or so. I dont really see the point to a floating chinook anyway, seeing as how that soldiers can't swim so you wouldnt be able to drop them off, nor pick them up because the time you would get there they would already be dead. Maybe later on though Op Flash can make a patch so that soldiers can swim a distance before they start to drown. And yes it would be nice to have a more realistic start up time for the helos. scout 0 Posted April 17, 2002 a chinook can haul a 105 mm Howitzer with ammo, some 10 tons i think, no more then that! the CH-53 cant haul much more then that too on a sling, although i know of a case where a CH-53 hauled 2 Howitzers, their crews and some ammo inside the cargo bay! HellToupee 0 Posted April 17, 2002 u wouldnt be hard to make people swim just make em float and give them an animation when swimming i guess bis could do that. With all that equipment they could swim due to tings like paks r very boyant if you go tramping with one of those massive paks and cross a river if it gets too deep the pak lifts you up and away you go. I myself prefer RonalV's Chinook Carrying Script, which you can find there. Its the most realistic and actually has a rope sling addon. Have any of you guys ever seen those old Chinook gunships from Viet Nam, called Guns-a-Go-Go's or something weird like that. They had 5 gunner stations, a turret mounted nade launcher, and ffar pods.
