Sure do :) Thanks for the wonderful words! And welcome back.

Not recruited in the literal sense of the word, but we are definitely looking into things for ARMA3 :-)

@CBA and @JayArma2Lib should only run server-side for @DayZ at this time. However SU by default enables all mods it finds on the server.

In this case, up top in the Overrides section, disable "ServerMods" checkbox, add @DayZ to your Preset on the Mods tab, and then only @DayZ mod should remain active.

If you want to join other servers again with mods automatically selected, the ServerMods checkbox should be set enabled or indeterminate.

If you find yourself switching around a lot, best create a separate preset for DayZ, and in the Preset settings, disable the ServerMods checkbox there instead.

Hi noob here.

I'm trying to download some mods, have CO on Steam as base correctly recognized by Sixupdater 2.9.5pre.

I tryed applying the A2 OA - ACE profile and:

-all the CBA mods are skipped

-ACE stops downloading at 55MBs (cargo, goggles and mv still missing)

meaning that data transfer stops, but worker threads are still active (missing timeout?)

What can I do?

[edit]

After closing it restarting, it has now finished the ACE, but stopped again on the ACEX_SM.

Closed and restarted, it's finishing ACEX_SM.

I suppose I'll have to do this over and over for all the mods...

The CBA issue sounds like you might have too old version of the software, please confirm you have the latest, SU v2.9.5pre33 (Check About in the main menu - blue button).

The download stop seems odd, possibly firewall/security suite related, or connectivity issues with some mirrors - perhaps there's just a very long delay/timeout?

If still issues please create a ticket with log files; http://www.six-updater.net/p/support.html

Hey SickBoy,

Just curious if there's a public changelog available for Six? I've looked all over the six-updater.net website but can't seem to find one.

Thanks.

Hi Sickboy

I would like to have all mods downloaded by SIX Updater, installed not in ArmA2,TKOH directory but inside ArmA2\SIX,TKOH\SIX

The way I do it now is by forcing the menu option>settings Mod to .\SIX, but this breaks BETA mod support and Take On Helicopters doesn't recognize the ArmA2 mods.

Is there a better way to do it?

The reason I do this, is because of servers using Yoma Addonsync (donwloads addons in root directory of game) and using different versions of addons, as not all servers get updated the same time.

Hey SB,

Thanks for a cracking tool, been using it a while now,but sure i'm not using it to it's full potential?

Have it running on our dedi-box.

Just wondering is it possible to have a tab/section with just the mods server keys?

I want to enable 'verifly signatures' (btw its not on atm,as in the past its gave us nothing but grief for some reason?) on our public servers but dont want to d/load every addon to get the server key!

Not sure if this is possible or already enabled on SU?

Cheers

ck

Heya,

Glad you are enjoying!

To download bikeys for mods, you have a couple of options:

- Grab them from the portal: http://stats.six-updater.net/mods

or

- In the Mods tab at the mods you want the keys for, you can enter *.bikey in the "incl" field of the mod. Then make sure the mod is added to your preset and Server Mode is enabled.

This should just fetch the bikeys and the "Process BiKeys" su action should be able to maintain them - copy/update to your game\keys folder etc.

or

- If you setup a CustomRepo with configuration for your server, and activate this configuration on your server, any mods configured as "Optional", if Server Mode is enabled,

will automatically add all these optional mods to your preset on the server, automatically setting the incl field to *.bikey, and thus not loading these mods on the server, but still downloading bikeys and processing them when you select "Process BIKeys".

You can find more info about CustomRepos at: http://www.six-projects.net/Six_Updater+CustomRepos_Setup - there's also a support section with Skype GroupChat link for help if you need.

Note for this last option, you do not actually have to host the mods yourself on the customrepo. The only thing of relevance is having a custom repo configuration for your server, and having configured "optional" mods.

For general signature info and also about v2, please refer to http://sickboy-six.blogspot.com/2011/11/v2-signatures-bisign-and-bikey-what-is.html

I have a little problem downloading the @HEXAgon via SU. All i get is a .repository.yml & config with all presets (A@, OA, CO) i've tried it with and same result after deleting the folder and trying again. All other mods download as usual.

Sorry, i think i already know the answer : This mod is no longer available and replaced by the MAF2Ext

I'm having trouble getting Six Updater to launch Combined Ops. I've got Six Updater pointed to my OA directory like the installation says, but it only launches OA. I own both Arma 2 and OA on Steam, with both expansions, so I'm not sure if there's a separate procedure for that or not.

Heya, what version of the software are you running? The latest versions should fully support Steam, even when the game's registry entries are incorrect.

It should auto-detect both games (A2 OA and A2 Original), etc.

2.9.6pre is what it says. How do I have it detect both games?

Here's a screenshot of my current client.

According to the screenshot the detected edition is Combined Ops, the OA steam edition path and exe seem to be fine, and the arma 2 steam edition seems to be loaded in the -mod= section (See green text right down, or the "Manager for ..." log entry in the left log dialog.

How do you reckon A2 isn't loaded?

If you still conclude it's not loaded please attach the SU log files, and the arma2 oa rpt file to a ticket; http://www.six-updater.net/p/support.html

The ArmA2 logo isn't showing up in the main menu of the game when I launch it with A2 OA-ACE selected.

That's probably just the logo, there's some threads with posts about it. Everything should work fine though.

I'll see about trying to fix it though, because at the very least it's confusing.

What exactly do each of the (S, D, L, C) indicators mean? Can't find it in the documentation.

Add how? To the SU tool so you can launch the mod, or to update the mod on the SU network?

In case of the latter, I take mod update/add requests over at the supportbox; http://www.six-updater.net/p/support.html
