I got great inspiration when listening to the Episode 1 Remix smile.gif

Though it wasnt a mission, it was an intro... Really neat actually.

Otherwise its Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit or E-type all the way. Though the last doesnt really belong there smile.gif

Oh oh, and I have TRIED to make people get really inspired by telling them to slam tanks into the ground to the tunes of Requiem (I44 script job testing). Hm, I wonder why no one have done it yet...

I listen to :

Liquid Tension Experiment

Metallica

Guns and Roses

Usually I just make a mission with no story line, then just add one in as the mission progresses.

Good call, RED. I'm a pencil artist in real life, and i gotta tell ya. Some of my best work comes when i just sit down and start drawing something with no agenda at first and just make it up as i go.

As far as OFP.........hmmmmmmmm....................Well, i'm a definite sniper buff, so i usually always try to include sniping in my mission in some way (which gets to be really dificult sometimes). Other than that, it could be anything. I get inspired by movies, other games, real life situations. Sometimes its cool to make a mission based on a movie or something. Maybe even based on someone elses mission. It is importaint, however, to distinguish between plagiarism and just borrowing a good idea.

So it comes from your subconscious part?

The most inspiring song is "Foggy dew"

Aculaud, I'm no professional artist...but I know what you mean in my free time or when I am pretty bored I like to draw and I have come up with some pretty wicked stuff by originally not setting out to do anything in particular.

As far as OFP is concerned I usually do the same thing. I place one unit and drive/walk/fly around and add things as I fell neccessary to add to aesthetics, gameplay and eventually storyline. Often the last thing to think off is actually what is going to happen in them mission.

maybe to an extent, but its also pre-meditated to a certain extent as well. you think about it as it comes to you and then put it where you want it. It can be challenging to make it fit in certain situations.

Well, my latest mission is coming directly from a dream. (yes I had a flashpoint dream). Not sure why, I haven't been playing much flashpoint lately.

I don't think asking people what music they listen to will help you really. Music is very personal. I, for example, like to listen to indie bands like Ocean Colour Scene. I love the sound of guitars and drums, often acoustic and sometimes folky, but not hard rock. Others are turned on by the likes of Slipknot and, as Erex so tastefully put it, the sound resembling someone vomiting in a trash can. In the past bands that have given me inspiration are Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Sunna and Jimi Hendrix...but don't neccessarily listen to them...listen to what you like to listen to, what moves you and what in your opinion sounds good.

theres also the factor that different music inspires different things. I love all music. Except country, and whatever genre Celine Dion is in. Classical is a great in my opinion. I love listening to the piano when i'm at work.

games can do that! After i played LandWarriror the first time, when i took a break from it (finally), i could still see the crosshair imprinted on my vision for a little while, like the sunspot when you get your picture taken.

I listen to movie soundtracks, marching music and classical to get inspiration for mission making.

I don't listen to music while I'm editing, but I do hum to myself. Typically my inspirations for missions just come from stuff that I think would be cool, or I'm sitting at work when I think of something, so I open up notepad and put out a few lines of code to give me some ideas.

There are tons of things I'd like to do but can't. If I could place some ramps, for example, I'd love to make a Dukes of Hazzard mission across that large canyon on Malden! smile.gif

LOL Aculaud, I play LW a lot still and never have seen a crosshair in my mind smile.gif

But I have had strange dreams about games.
