ARMA2.exe process

Recommended Posts

Sure someone write about this.

Please repair the CTD when you are playing in warfare (depends of your view distance) + view > -lesstime to crash (arma2.exe process stop and a black screen appear about 1 MB used). A read a lot of post about to fix this problem but a i dont find nothing.

The problem is for all user (nvidia and ATI).

Comes indepently of your amoung of RAM memory.

The pc's specs dont mater in this BIG BUG.

The CTRL + "-" and write FLUSH dont solve this (The arma2.exe process still grows and the CTD comes in time)

Im bored to restart the game after 1h or less of gameplayed. All the units you fly to heaven, and your position im map too. Its desesperated to reach a possition and then CTD, or buy an unit of 45.000 € price and , WTF!!!! to the desktop, you loose your money.

This maybe a point to still playing this game and the next expansion of it.

We need a Quick solution, Whats is the problem??? (quick patch 1.05.01 please)

Im spanish, sorry for write errors!!

Nice way to double post !

Is double because so perhaps the importance double is given him to something that I think that it is very important and more in this game.

This is not the battlefield 2 where a disconnection do not supposes to you more that to tune in again.

What do you think?.

The reason your machine is falling over is either your machine is rubbish or you have too many incompatible mods running.

I can play warfare for many hours (hosting and also playing) without any problems.

Posting only once on a topic is all that is called for.

Problem comes with addons and with a clear run.

My CPU is Q8200 and GC Ati 4780. with 4 GB RAM in W7 64bits.

Try to set view distance in 4000 m and Grapish to HQ. If game go ok you may have the solution for this problem.

What Mhz is your CPU?

What are your in game video settings?

Is your GPU 512Mb or 1GB and is a a single card or Crossfire? (probably not important for this issue though)

Can you post up a copy of your Arma2.cfg file?

Also do you start the .exe with any command lines if so please can you tell us what command line parameters you use?

Such information is valuable and will help us to help you solve the problem.

GAME settings:

Resolution 1280x1024

3D resolution - SAME

Texture details - Very High

Video Memory - Very High

Antisotrophic Filter - Very High

AA - Off

Texture terrain - low

Texture object - Normal

Texture shadows - Normal

Post efects - High

Interface window - smallest

I try with diferent settings with the same result.

CPU - CUAD 8200 2.33 Mhz

GPU - 512 MB - single ATI 4870

arma2.cfg:

language="Spanish";

adapter=-1;

3D_Performance=93750;

Resolution_Bpp=32;

Resolution_W=1280;

Resolution_H=1024;

refresh=75;

Render_W=1280;

Render_H=1024;

FSAA=0;

postFX=2;

HDRPrecision=8;

lastDeviceId="";

localVRAM=529551360;

nonlocalVRAM=1878523904;

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=2;

Windowed=0;

winX=16;

winY=32;

winW=1280;

winH=1024;

winDefW=1280;

winDefH=1024;

Error comes with all posible configurations, with and without mods (Clear run).

When i change the view distance and increase it, error comes more quick.

Now arma2.exe struck at 1.250.000 kb.

THX.

Try setting video memory and texture details to normal.

I don't think your 512MB card can handle the higher options.

I have used default for the video memory for all the video cards I've used. I know some have problems with setting it to default, but I haven't. Very high on a 512mb card is too high as Yoma said.

Also try replacing GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; with GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; (or 2)

Please don't point this guy to "Default", trust me you'll be needing "Normal".

Like Yoma says, try normal and if that still fails then try high. The Default setting seems "broken"!

hmmm, he has a ATI card... NVDA need the non Default selection, ATi use the Default selection...But you still have to fine tune/play with the setting.

As for Warfare, it should be called CTDfare...Mr Memleak fare, or just plane Frustration Crashed again Fare....

ATI cards here: 'default' is the only setting that makes the HDR settle down for me, otherwise it suffers sporadic white-outs (for CrossFire users at least).
