Hi,

here is my small mission which can help you find nice (or ugly) filters you can use in your mission, FLIR scripts and for other purposes.

Mission covers Arma2 filters as follow:

  • RadialBlur (needs postprocesses enabled)
  • ChromaticAberration
  • WetDistortion
  • ColorCorrections
  • Dynamic Blur
  • FilmGrain
  • ColorInversion

Screens:

chromew.th.jpg colory.th.jpg dynamicm.th.jpg grain.th.jpg inversion.th.jpg

radialBlur

wetDistorsion

Using:

  1. use radio
  2. click "enable" button, to enable current effect
  3. play with sliders to find effect you looking for
  4. you can also use daytime slider to change time of the day

Cool! Was waiting for something like this. You should make a "copy to clipboard" button, that would copy the whole effect code what you later could past into a script. It would make it much easier faster to use effect once you've found it.

Very interesting thanks.

Just a thought looking at the Chromatic Aberration effect. Is it possible do a red and cyan horizontal offset? Then we could view in 3d with anaglyph glasses. :D

It won't work very well with the circular effect.

I don't know: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Post_process_effects#ChromaticAberration

Documentation says about X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) spacing but it looks different.

There is also some inconsistency. There we can found example:

hndlChromAberr ppEffectAdjust [par0, par1, par2, par3]

and then table describes only 3 params o_O

I updated mission to version 1.2.

Changes:

-added "save to clipboard" button

-added "save to arma2.rpt" button

-moved sliders down

-moved buttons to the right

-added overview

I can't get this to work. Only color correction works. is it because it's like a year old and something changed with A2 or what? I'm trying to give player controlled infected of Charons Undead Mod to have flir or some kind of nightvision/thermal, whatever. I would just put NVG's on them, but it doesn't work with the undead mod it seems..

Unfortunatelly most of the (post process) effects (as the name says) need post processing effects to be enabled.

But the night vision / flir effect could be done using colors correction only.

Just checked version 1.2 hosted by armaholic and it works for me - press 0-0 and radio should appear

When I press ''0'' the Radio is in grey text so its not available. I have version arma 2 1.07.
