bfcrusader 10 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) I was wondering what level of system requirements can we expect from this game? I've got an: Acer Aspire AMD Athlon 64 2X Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.01 GHz, 3,25 GB RAM NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS Will this be enough? cm. 10 Posted February 19, 2010 no idea of system requirements, but i would say that would be able to play it on low low low settings.
sav112g 10 Posted August 17, 2010 Great thing is I’m on a Five year old system. A Brand new car put me off a new rig and I’m happy to wait till a game come out I want to play. I gave up on BF2 as every few weeks it would crash the pc and I think the GFX card is just past it these days so don’t play anything other a Naveyfeilds browser game. I like the look of a few of the FPS that are coming out, as they just look absolutely fantastic. I got my Last PC to play BF2 and the new one will be for something that captures my interest like CC could do.

calebth213 10 Posted August 24, 2010 will this be good enough intel core 2 duo T5250 @ 1.50GHz 1.50GHz 2GB 32-bit
maddogx 13 Posted August 24, 2010 will this be good enoughintel core 2 duo T5250 @ 1.50GHz 1.50GHz 2GB 32-bit Missing info on the graphics card, but so far I would say that the CPU is rather on the weak side. You'll want something faster to run the game at anything but very low settings.
Oxymoron28 10 Posted August 30, 2010 Been looking around for laptops (yes it has to be laptop) that might be able to run Arma 2 and its expansions, so far I have found this one I think could run it but I need a more expert opinion, what do you guys think? Encrypted_God 10 Posted August 30, 2010 I personally think the laptop will struggle with it (ArmA) even on low settings. But some users that have a PC even struggles with the issue. As for most laptops, they are limited and highly proprietary. Meaning; you will have limited or no room for upgrade. But...it all depends on the user. The same thing goes for Bundled PC's (PC's bought off the shelf). If the user is intending on gaming on the PC for most of the time then (I think) the only way to go is build your own. Or better yet, get the laptop for your general usage and build yourself a nice gaming rig. That's what I do as my main rig (in my sig) really sucks of the juice. But now we're talking about money. Yeah I would love to build myself a gaming rig, but unfortunately that is not an option for me, it does have to be a Laptop. My mate tells me he runs Arma 2 on medium-low settings on his Vaio. I'm not looking at running it on the highest settings, low and medium are fine enough for me I just want my Arma Fix XD.
Encrypted_God 10 Posted August 30, 2010 Yeah I Understood that. What I meant by "Struggle" is the settings of your choice. And as I said; Money is an issue with everyone. Most players struggle with performance whether they have a Desktop or Laptop. Also, some players neglect to think about other factors about the game-play performance. Some need to think about their network connection, How far the server is. You know; things of that nature. Most to all of my lag comes from the server side, pinging, and how many ATM's I have to pass through to get to the server. LMAO!! Which the server is only one state away from me. Anyways...if you played on your friends laptop and you're satisfied with its performance then you may want to consider getting that particular model?

If you're looking for a laptop that can run ArmA2 or Carrier Command: Gaea Mission that laptop would be a good choice based solely on the hardware. I'm not a huge fan of the bloatware that comes on HP laptops though. Sager is a great choice too. http://www.pctorque.com/sager-laptops.php Edited August 30, 2010 by Jack
-martin- 10 Posted August 31, 2010 I got this system which runs ArmA 2 very well and ArmA 1 perfectly. AMD Phenom x3 @ 1,90GHz 2GB 800MHz RAM nVidia GeForce GTS250 (Can be connected using Hybrid to the on-board graphics card but I don't use use it) 500GB ATA 7200rpm Hard Disk (16MB Cache, 8GB Swap file) I think that this will be able to run Command Carrier on medium detail, if not maximum because we don't really know how the new engine will perform or how many AI there will be etc... Also the islands don't look as detailed like in ArmA 2 so I really don't know, but I'm confident that my system will be able to run it pretty good. The only thing I can do to improve it is get a AMD Phenom II x4 processor, then it should run on high settings. But I got games like Metro 2033, Mafia 2, Stalker which all run on maximum settings on my PC so who knows :p Running games on a lap top, I don't know, I have a middle price laptop and its struggling to run ArmA 1 on low details, then there is always the problem of heat etc... I think something bellow a £1000 laptop won't run Command Carrier well, but at least get an AMD processor, I find that they lag less then Intel, for example Intel will just freeze or kind of stop for a few seconds after every frame where as AMD just keeps on slowly working so even if you get low FPS its still kind of playable.
