GODSPEEDSNAKE 12 Posted April 17, 2011 Charon Productions, I have been working on a mission using this mod and the USS Nimitz addon, everything seems to be working fine with the mod until I put a Nimitz on the map!?!?! jmol 10 Posted April 17, 2011 Guys, I have to be doing something VERY wrong. I just bought the game today, basically just for this mod. I messed around with the editor than downloaded the mod. Here's what I did. 1. Placed the Undead-Infected module 2. Placed an infected in a town. 3. Created a group of civilians 4. Created a unit, that I would play as. I hit preview, and all the civilians and zombies just stand there. The infected don't attack the civilians, nor I. Any idea what I did wrong. I probably missed something dumb and obvious. Craig_VG 20 Posted April 17, 2011 (edited) The Undead module is the infected module. Toss down the Infected module, a single infected, and the Spawn module. It should then work. Craig_VG 20 Posted April 18, 2011 I gave it a whirl. I started the game with only arma 2. Not combined ops. The file you gave me worked just fine, both with zombies and with infected. Do you have a pbo file in your addon folder for the zombie mod that says something like "undead control"? That would probably mess it up as its for the .90 version of the mod, which is very buggy. Also do you have a pbo in the addon folder that says "chn_undead_misc.pbo"? That should be there also. The mission is fine, so it must be something with your addon, or how you put it in the folder. GODSPEEDSNAKE 12 Posted April 18, 2011 Hmm yes I hope he returns too, I would like to get my hands on this V9.0 for a mission that has been in waiting for a year. Hope things work out for him, and his not finding it too tough out there.Anyway, a problem I brought up earlier that sort of fixed but still isn't favorable. I want one certain AI unit to be immune to zombie attacks, not only by note getting infected, but by not getting any physical damage from their melee attacks. I sort of got this fixed thanks to a tip from someone I forget the name of (Sorry whoever you are). Anyway I looped this script for the character: #start ~.01 CptnDonnan setdamage 0; CptnDonnan setVariable ["CHN_UNDEAD_INFECTED",false,true]; goto "start"; ; This USUALLY made him immune, sometimes he still died, but it worked at least 90% of the time. However, when the AI unit was crowded by at least 4 zombies, he would go to prone and would not get up even after they were gone. He was not injured, yet still wouldn't rise even after using several commands such as unitpos up etc. So I team switched to him, and found that not even I could force him up, was stuck in prone the whole time. This is problematic as there is a "running" sequence later on. Thanks for taking the time to read. ^ Godspeedsnake, sorry I'm not a 100% sure what is wrong. Are you running other mods? Also, if you are using the "zombie module" rather than "infected module" and there are female units on the map, if they become infected that will cause a crash due to their inability to utilize the slow zombie (Zombie) animations, they can only do fast zombie running animations (Infected). Bezzy, I am running other mods though EVERYTHING works fine without the zombie module and say 1 zombie on the map, then add the module and zombie crash, then i take JUST the USS Nimitz off the map and volla she works like a charm, for some reason the ACTUAL zombie module and the USS nimitz can't be on the map together... I don't think you had a problem installing the addon because there are zombies there (the mission is kinda funny btw because the civs don't run). dissaifer 10 Posted April 22, 2011 If you have arma 2, then it does "work." Its' just that the zombies that kill Takistanis will get up as Cheranus (spelling?) looking zombies. If you don't have arma 2 you have to change the config settings to reference the "OA" characters. You'll lose all the artwork that Charon did, but the functionality would still work.
