-DirTyDeeDs--Ziggy- 0 Posted December 27, 2009 I suggest a GTX275. from personal experience I can say it works well. I am a virtual soldier from the 2nd Infantry squad of the United States Intelligence. I've seen a lot of action in Everon, Nogova, Sahrani, and most recently Chernarus. I will be getting deployed soon to Podagorsk, wish me luck!
Dwarden 1125 Posted December 27, 2009 5770 fares well but 5850 / 5870 / 5970 are perfect choices ....
razorseal 10 Posted December 27, 2009 I went from 29 to 39 guys was it worth the 220 bux? Not even sure...
cm. 10 Posted December 27, 2009 4890 supports HDMI (w/ sound) via an adapter. btw, it's pointless to be a fanboy... for both sides...
rotkeps 10 Posted December 27, 2009 I went from 29 to 39 guyswas it worth the 220 bux? Not even sure... If it were any other game I would say you could expect atleast 20fps more, but this isn't exactly the smoothest running on the market and is notoriously CPU hungry, what is the rest of your system like? cjph 0 Posted December 28, 2009 After many months I also went from 8800GTS (512M version) to a 4890 last month and am very happy with it. Used to run medium settings, now all on high. Same rationale - no DX11 games which interest me are due for relese for a while, and the info I have read seems to point at the 4890 as a sweet spot right now price/performance wise, though the impact of disk access time reducing stuttering can be equally as dramatic as a card upgrade (see the threads on RAM disks etc). Enjoy your card.
Touch Off 10 Posted December 28, 2009 I have an 8800GT, but my E6600 processor bottlenecks it quite a bit....A mate has a Q5550 and a GTX260.It runs absolutely beautifully..I buit that PC for him and he's chuffed.........but....I'm jealous... I'll get an i5 with a 260 soon, probably. That should kick some butt..
