Also, having problem getting MMA's Hellfires to fire from the Viper. I get lock-on, but when I hit RMB I just get this kind of beep noise. Maybe a conflict with keys?

Damn, I bet there is a conflict. I'll take a look.

I get the UPS error when ending the mission as well.

I'm not sure what that's from. It seems to happen with every map/mission I use UPS in. I know it's annoying but it doesn't have any effect. Not sure if it's how I set up the mission or if UPS just does that. The script works fine in the mission though.

You know using vehicles from different addons can easily mess up game balance?

The old BW mod was a good example. Bad german tanks and "über" RU tanks.

I hope so. I've always wanted to make a campaign and ACE sure warrants one. If not a campaign though there will be more missions. I make a bunch but never usually finish or release them but now I'll start. I'm going to Arizona tomorrow to see the girlfriend for a month but when I get back I'll get more missions out. I may even release another mission that I've been trying to convert to ACE2. It's almost ready but I may run out of time.

ACE2 really adds to the game but as a mission maker it's a thing of beauty. All the new stuff just screams to be used. It's fantastic to see it out this early in A2's life. I can't even imagine all the good stuff it will bring. Then when Mando gets his Mando Bombs suite ported over, there's gonna be same incredible resources available for mission makers! Stay tuned.....

Game balance, it's an SP mission using the US Army. Lack of vehicles/equipment is something they don't know. Now from experience, if it was a USMC mission I'd agree. Not sure how it is now but up until a few years ago they didn't give us s&^t! ;)

Usually with my US missions I like to pile on the equipment, especially since ACE provides such great stuff. I try to compensate by giving the enemy AI enough AT, AA and heavy armour assets to make it tough for the player though. I also like to pump up the AI skill levels so they fight like hell.

I seriously never care much for game balance. In RL battles, its always winning by overwhelming force, either technologically or quantity, there's always an edge over the opposition, never a fair play. :)

This is strange. I took the same Helo (Viper) and target T-72A outside of your mission and while using MMA, the Hellfires launched properly.

Has anyone else had this problem with getting their Hellfires to launch in this mission?

I can't get the right windows key to do anything. But I can manually press the fire button and it works. I just tried a test mission with just the AH1Z, some T-90s and the mando logics but it still does the same thing. When I use ACE2 the button does seem to work.

Ah, ok. If you are flying alone, without gunner, then you need first to switch the weapons to manual fire first (menu action). If this is the case, this might be the reason.

so it was just me being stupid :D

If flying solo, hit Manual Fire then LMB to target, RMB to fire theHellfires.

Hi Manzilla, still having fun with this one execpt I changed the time of day to pre-dawn as thats my favorite hour for slinging lead :D

Had a problem with a trigger

After repelling the initial assault, I took out my Viper Helo to go attack armour at the enemy HQ. Usually we would get a report that an enemy Helo with spec-ops were en route but not this time. I flew around a while, hugging terrain and picking targets when I saw the enemy Helo parked on the ground. Circled him for a while waiting but he never got his order. Finally landed, shot the pilot who was outside, ran over and opened the carge door -voila! a whole truck load of Spetz Natz lookin at me funny-like :D

Slung an HE round at them and they jumped out and killed me real fast.

Also, I think you should add some AA defense for the enemy as I was King pimp O' the sky in my Viper and maybe some defenses at their airport.

Good stuff though mate :)

Ah my apologies. I never thought about the player finding them.

The trigger goes off when you are spotted near the end base and they call the heli in for reinforcements.

Now I know how to spawn thing I can do that instead. The fact that there are Russians coming to their support is a new plot line I plan on expanding one day.

Glad you guys like it. I look forward to making more missions when I get back in mid-Jan.

I'm getting the error "cannot play this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.NZXWheeled1_M1151_Armored". I've got the NZX HMMWV mod installed correctly and targeted in the shortcut, anyone know what could be going on?

There´s an already reported bug with some of the ACE SF guys causing CTDs (try it with the assault grenadier in the editor).

Cool, at least its not due to some corrupted registry or stuffs like that hahahahha computer is fragile as hell after installing so many gadgets.

You might have to update this now ACE has its own sound folder and filenames have changed. I was getting error for acex_c_sound_wep_sniper.pbo being deleted. I just removed it from mission.sqm and the mission worked.

Sorry for the delayed response everyone, I just got back home from a trip. I'll check out the new ACE updates and hopefully get this mission updated before I leave again in a week. If not I'll be back again on Jan 10th and then I'll get back to making missions.
