sanctuary 19 Posted November 7, 2009 on the base combat mission, you have put the helicopters on the flank of one of the mountains, most of of the time the UH60 AI will kill itself trying to take off from there. You should put them on a flat ground below that mountain to avoid any possible AI issue, the AI can take off a lot better from flat ground. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

JdB 151 Posted November 10, 2009 I've played the missions. Here are my impressions: Drive: This is a good idea, but it needs some work. Try setting up a route through Lipany, and use some barrels and other objects as obstacles that you need to avoid. Alternatively you could put in just a few East troops around the town with "this setdammage 1" in their init field (so they shoot inaccurately at you). Base: I liked this mission, the force balance on the East side is very good. On the West side however, you should add some heavier equipment as the attack is too easy to defeat right now, a Bradley or two, a Blackhawk FFAR (UH60) to escort the transport Blackhawks (UH60-mg) or something like that. Ange2: The idea is very good (I always liked evade and escape missions). There are jeeps across the most obvious route, but the jeeps are the wrong kind I guess (I think you intended to use the jeeps with machine guns on them as a sort of roadblock, in which case you should also remove the driver from the jeep). You can put some "Wood Fence" and "Wire" objects in front of those jeeps to make it harder to get past them (forcing you off the road). The tanks firing at you is good as your only option is to get away from there as soon as possible, which makes it even clearer why you need to reach La Montagne as you have no way to counter those Abrams except with speed. It would also be nice if you added some small infantry patrols in the main towns that you come across and in the fields around them. PopUpTarget 0 Posted November 11, 2009 I have basically the same responses as I44 John. During the Base mission I let my ZSU's shoot down the helo's. Then I repositioned the ZSU's to the side of the base where the attack was coming from. Then I simply used my binoculars to spot ground troops and let the ZSU's take them out at very long range. I never fired a shot, nor was I or my troops ever fired upon. The Ange mission was just a matter of driving like a maniac (like we do here in the states anyway...LOL!!!!) and swerving around the roadblocks until I got to safety. I played Ange2 last night: Really no more challenging than version 1. This time though I armed myself with an AK from the ammo pile in the compound. Then I waited for the patrol to come over the hill and from the compound I picked them off one at a time. They never took to the offensive or fired back. Then I took the UAZ for a drive. About 100 yards from the first jeep I got out and killed the jeep driver, then stole the jeep (faster than UAZ). I also stopped and killed the other jeep roadblocks, then drove through the first waypoint and on to the finish. No one ever fired at me. Suggestions - Have some soldiers actually guarding Angelina that she can kill with the S&W or AK. Roving foot patrols between the compound and first waypoint and final destination. Place them everywhere in case Angelina decides to go off-roading. Maybe an ambush in the first town? Machine gun equipped jeep roadblocks. More aggressive setting for AI. Raining and poor visibility. zulu1 145 Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) Well I played 2 of the 3 missions, Base and Angelina. Base: While the concept seemed good, it wan't much of a challange. My M1A1's took no damage. I did get a little worried when rpg soliders poped out, but they were machineguned quickly. Basically wasn't much of a challange. Maybe if you added some kind of a counter attack after Morton is taken to help lengthen the mission and increase the AI skill level somewhat. Angelina: I'm not sure which version it was, but I checked both and there is something wrong with all of the the handguns. You don't see the gun in her hand. Anyway left the starting point ran into a jeep blocking the road, I got out and dispatched the driver then pulled up and put his M16 in the Uaz as a backup not knowing what I would run into. I came across a couple of more jeeps in the road, so I took it across country to see what I would run into. I spotted a squad on patrol so I stopped to take them on. They were dispacthed in a short manner. Angelina is quite handy with an AK74, here is the aftermath; After that I got to Lamentin without any further contact. Can't say much about this, it was pretty anticlimatic. Again the AI skill level could be increased. PopUpTarget 0 Posted November 13, 2009 Just for fun I un-PBO'd Ange2 mission. I had no idea there were so many units and armor waiting to kill me out there! Unfortunately for the Americans Ange can speed along in the jeep and almost never get shot if she stays on the road. If she tries cross country odds of survival go down. One M1 Abrams did get a lucky shot on me on the road once. A few machine gun rounds slowed me and then I was finished off by cannon. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Then I pasted it to Windows paint, saved as a JPEG, then resized and enhanced with IfranView. There is also Fraps, a screen capture/video utility. Also Kegety's DXDLL does screen shots too.
