M4A1 SD mods for scopes ?

Recommended Posts

Im a complete noob to the modding scene, but i always find it a real bumber that none of the M4A1s have an ACOG or at least a better scope than the red dot,

anyone know any good mods for M4A1 scopes ?

(If this question was asked already sorry,Or if there is a post about it i coudnt find it.)

Also i found a mod but it was for Arma 1, and i dont completely understand how to make it work on ArmA II.

Doesnt have to be a new scope but a new reticle would be nice.

Never really thought a silenced M4 would pack enough punch to merit a scope. No doubt if they exist they'll appear in a pack at some point, OFP had enough M4s to arm a small army! :p

Hmm,i get some pretty good distance on an M4 SD its a harder shotbut you can get some nice distances, with a decent scope like an ACOG it could do wonders.

I may do a small pack for giggles. Just swapping around the optics etc, I'm not too sure yet.

Scopes on surpressed weapons (exception being designated marksman rifles and Sniper rifles) defeat the purpose. I mean you are trying to be covert, if you are picking off guys from 400m away you are going to alert your enemy alot quicker.

I like the fact that I have to make a choice in the mission about the weapon I am using. In the campaign I dumped my surpressed M4 holo and grabbed an ak107 as I was being outranged by the enemy and was having a hard time hitting anything over 200m. Thats cool in my books.

That being said it would not be hard to whack an acog onto an existing surpressed M4

The guns hit detection is horrible overall not a gun to use in this game knowing almost everyone will wear kevlar. :D

BIS or Mods can you please make MP5 with Aimpoint, remodel the gun (looks bad), sound effect sounds too wimpy, I've shot one before and give it some better hit detection and I'll start setting up some CQB. :)

@sv5000

Yes, conceptually I agree. I find that the nature of the attatchments available for the different weapon systems make for interesting gameplay. This was also the case in Operation Flashpoint.

The reason I'd like to see aimpoint on the mp5, is because the sight is fundamentally flawed. It just doesn't do a decent job.

@Flash Thunder

I love playing with the mp5sd. Its extremely short range, and ridiculusly low damage forces me to maneuver carefully and make my shots count. Few things are more satisfying that sneaking up within 40 meters of a sentry and double-tapping him with a mp5sd.

Efficient? no.. fun? YES.

Well, lets hope someone can make a pack for MP5/M4A1 SD :], i think the guy who was working on it originally scrapped the project :(

Come to think of it.... Am I wrong in my assumption that If you load 5.56-SD mags into a M16A4+Acog combination your shots will to the AIs ears be suppressed?

The sound will certainly not change, but the way the AI discerns/reads the bullets is.

Sounds like I just discovered the new next ultimate replacement for the DMR :P
