Aelin 10 Posted September 22, 2009 sad but true.bis tell us how to help you to solve it. it affects my mp experience, but i noticed that sometime single player stucks on "receiving" but without flashing and just for a few secs then it heals itself and in the instant it reloads the image i can see, just for a microsecond, ugly textures.i think these two different situations are strictly related to each other, the only difference is that the engine in mp cant reload
segmentor 10 Posted September 23, 2009 Mmm I've just started playing Arma and have copped it twice in one night, in the middle of multiplayer missions. Running v1.4 on XP64. Any hints?
dmarkwick 261 Posted September 23, 2009 I'm still getting it too. I've never NOT had it. I'm assuming it's to do with my (relatively) low vid card memory, which is 320MB.
Nazul 10 Posted September 23, 2009 I get it on gtx295 with 890mb x 2. So i doubt its to do with that DMarkwick. I didnt ever get it before 1.
Thirdup 0 Posted September 23, 2009 Have you tried fiddling with the video memory setting options? I can re-create the "receiving" issue with this setting (and can can resolve it, too). There is absolutely no doubt that the two are related, at least on my system. Hope you sort it out.

Lester 0 Posted September 24, 2009 Funny thing for me, since 1.04 the receiving problem is gone like it comes for me first with one of the last 1.03 betas, i never had the receiving message before on my 768MB videocard.
-=Firewall=- 10 Posted September 24, 2009 Try to start Arma2 in window mode, it solved the problem for me.(and other grafic problems)
segmentor 10 Posted September 28, 2009 Interesting, I will try a few of those things. I'm running an 8800GT with 512MB onboard RAM for the record. (on XP64 SP1)
Alex72 1 Posted September 28, 2009 i got 512 vram and i set video memory on "very high" Dont think 512mb is regarded very high. Think about it - there is 1GB and 2GB cards. Very high would (i think) be 1GB at least. 512MB is normal these days. But who knows what to set in the game. All i know is BIS said that if you add that option too high - you will have problems in the game. So maybe some of you raise that option too high and therefor you get problems. I never had recieving problems or artifacts or anything.
