Im at the LZ with the girl, I told HQ that i was at the place, they told me they were sending smn to pick the girl up.

After 30 mins ive still not seen anyone.

What am i doing wrong? Or is it a bug?

yes it is a bug. I also had the same problem.

Carry the girl around with you until you finish the mission. I solved the problem in this way.

I attacked Chedaki main base with Lagushina (the girl) behind me. She stayed covered. No problem.

Did you get attacked by a couple of vehicles after that?

I had the same problem like Jan601 but I don't get a clue where the Jersey Lz is?

It's marked on the map if you have this task selected.

Almost due west of Manhattan base if I remember correctly. but you have to go around a mountain to get to it.

Yeah I reverted the save and I got it to work, the Lz showed up and I was attacked by a few vehicles and troops :)

All the radio chatter came in when I wasn't sitting in a vehicle but walking on foot. Then it's hard as hell with the machine gun trucks but (if) the M24 arrives in time (the one that picks up the girl) it will take out the trucks.

Meanwhile get away into the woods (that's what I did) and shoot from there, put the guys in either stealth or prone position not to get them shot and wait until the chopper cleans up the field, then the girl automatically rushes to the chopper once it lands.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

This was opposite for me.

The trucks took out the chopper and then the girl ran away. Found her back at her car where I promptly shot her. The mission doesn't complete but it's not essential to the storyline.

Jeez! Too complicated! And dangerous! Do this:

Take a LAV-25, get the girl and drive her in that to the LZ. Sit tight in the LAV. Once the trucks arrive schwack them with 25mm rounds and watch the fireworks. When the helicopter arrives, the girl will leave the LAV on her own and you get the credits for task completion.

Ive had the pilots show up without the helo...I assume they crashed on the way.

I think that is part of the problem, the helo is getting shot down on the way there. I think i am going to do this mission last, after I have cleared out the other camps and main base, and then the helo will be able to get there without getting shot down (hopefully).

I've played Manhattan twice and it got shot down both times, I assume by the two UAZs that attack you after you've been at the LZ for a minute or two.

There's a small CDZ tent about 300m or so to the east at the base of the mountain. I think that's where they originate

Anyway, if those two UAZs don't show up anywhere near the LZ then something's not being triggered. However, I've had the helicopter shot down right on top of me but the second time I played it the helo was shot down about 200m away so I didn't even notice the crash because I wasn't looking in that direction at the time.

Damn, i got to the LZ and a load of friendly tanks were parked up :o

They circled around for a bit, then left, the chopper started flying in, i heard a few bullets go flying so i hit the deck, the girl got on the chopper without me even watching and then the door gunner took out all the troops :D i never saw any UAZ at all :o

Yea, I forgot to mention there is also a squad that attacks the LZ from the west about the same time that the UAZs attack. It's quite possible that the UAZs were eliminated earlier by some other friendly unit.

It's hilarious that the Hind goes down from this UAZ at 100037. In my case it didn't even look like it was shot down. It started to attack it with FFAR rockets and crashed into the camp while doing so.

First I thought this camp is a sentry camp which could be placed randomly and wasn't took into consideration for this submission. But the sentry camp dialog only appeared once in many reloads.

YOu will notice in main Chedaki camp a guy with Strela ground -air thingy so probably he is the one shotting the helo down

The main camp was already cleared at this time. It seemed more like the Hind wasn't able to coordinate his FFAR attack dive with the forest line and the incline at the camp. Or he lost thrust because of the UAZ MG fire all the time.

If you set this as your active task the LZ is shown as an orange circle/target I think.

I had a huge problem with this part of the mission for a couple of days, but here is what I did to resolve it.

I was on my way to see if I could identify the woman's car and stop her when by pure miracle I bumped into her walking on the road between 2 towns. I was expecting her to be in the car so I thought it wouldn't be the target but she looked like the picture and when I got out of my LAV-25 I arrested her.

When I reached the LZ I was attacked by the enemy cars but the chopper never made it. I saw it "land" in the distance and when I reached it a bit away from the LZ it simply was landed on the grass with the pilots inside.

I redid this mission about 9 times between 2 days worth of playthroughs but it wasn't halfway through the playthroughs that I noticed that it was the chopper being shot down, sometimes they would land without being destroyed but never would take off again.

I also noticed that the attacks were coming from the Chedaki main base which the chopper flies directly over.

It took me 3 tries but I used an artillery strike on the main base and that allowed the chopper not to get hit by fire as it came to pick up the girl. In fact the chopper actually attacked a couple of vehicles in the base and then managed to swing around and pick up the girl without problems.

I then turned my full attention at attacking the base which fortunately for me 3 M1A2 Tusks appeared and joined me in the fight. It wa awesome.

I hope that might help any of you if you are in a similar problem to what I had.
