BF2_Trooper 0 Posted August 15, 2009 For some reason I crashed while playing hosting a MP game, and I got one of those "this application has encountered an error and needs to close" messages. When I closed that, my steam poped up saying "ARMA2 has finished downloading". My friend who was in the same server, crashed a few seconds later and told me he noticed that STEAM was updating ARMA2 on his side. I restart the game and it still shows up as 1.03. Is this some sort of hotfix or something?
Bomber_c 0 Posted August 15, 2009 Steam is also updating my ARMA2 now.

ICE-Raver 10 Posted August 15, 2009 Update complete. Was a quick download. Still can't login because of the too busy message. Steakslim 1 Posted August 15, 2009 sounds like steam is bogged down because all the users online are suddenly updating all at once.
Bulldogs 10 Posted August 15, 2009 "Fixed an objective impossible to complete in the campaign mission Badlands" unfortunately the servers are overloaded so keep trying and it'll update
Steakslim 1 Posted August 15, 2009 Yeah I now know why I crashed out of the middle of the game. Doesn't bother me none, though, as I needed to call it a night anyways lol.
Bulldogs 10 Posted August 15, 2009 I noticed Steam keeps loggin me out automatically even 5 mins or so, I figure their servers are overloaded and they're trying to get rid of some congestion.

cm 0 Posted August 15, 2009 Lol I remember getting that bug when steam first came out (as well as countless others).
Bulldogs 10 Posted August 15, 2009 Yeah, the bug has been there since the beginning. And if that doesn't work, make sure your firewall (windows and router) are forwarding ports 27000-27030 (UDP) and 27020-27050 (TCP) and make sure Anti-Virus software isn't blocking updates (some AV software doesn't let you update steam stuff due to the fact that Steam deletes the old files then replaces them)

Grizzle 0 Posted August 15, 2009 I'm guessing it was a small patch designed to test a patching fix since they had an issue with it during the last update. If you'll recall the 1.03 patch caused a 4GB download.
