I transfered the "BIG", old evolution blue and red for A1 into Arma2 and the AIs lands normaly and never get killed. They dont respawn so high as in A2 evo. I have no idea what is wrong though since the script looks the same. Now Im no pro in this things so maybe someone with more knowledge and experiance would see whats wrong. In 1.02 it was quite brutal becouse AI was very good. In 1.03 its a bit easier. If I figure out what is wrong with AI landing I will post it. Although when razor team was parachuting in campaign they were dieing too. By the way, I think in Evo 3.3 for chernarus or something, AI spawn near you and not parachute down. kabong 1 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) Sorry - got waylaid last night but will work on getting the revised spawn code up today. 11aTony is right - the code comes from EVO BLUE v3.5 for Chernarus by cB. Razor. Also, I concur with what he says about the old Evo for ArmA 1 - the parachuting recruits do not die when run under ArmA 2. I have tried improving the Evo for ArmA 2 Sahrani code so that they don't die but haven't been successful. It is all bound up in the new interface and I couldn't find a way of successfully modifying it. I am wondering if a better approach may be to port the old Evo code over, as he seems to have done, rather than basing it on Evo for Chernarus. As I said, I can get it to run, but it's pretty clunky and I'm not sure what may be broken. One thing it would give us is the ability to drop recruits from our squad - haven't got a clue how to do this with the Evo for Chernarus version, short of TKing them. Anyone know how to do this? I tried all the version still no luck and -Sahrani Evolution Mission 0.1b I get can play this deleted content missing opx.misc. I would really like to host this for my buddies but no luck. killaalf 0 Posted August 31, 2009 Uhm, the last version (0.1d) does not have the correct name syntax, so it won't show up as a playable mission on Sahrani until you rename it to "SahraniEvoV0.1d.Sara.pbo" Just a heads up for anyone else who's been trying to get this to work. l mandrake 9 Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) enjoying this mission (ah, the nostalgia), but the towns dont seem to be reinforcing at the moment, i.e. no tanks or APCs arrive even if you leave the radio tower standing for a long time... also there dont seem to be many enemy units in Paraiso - is it possible to increase the number so you have a city 'teeming' with enemy? eggbeast 3673 Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) just a tip on porting evo to a new map: open the map in editor place items at certain locations, i use: uavterminal = radio tower - in 11 city centres (mobj1-11) truck = enemy reinforcements - on 3 roads approaching each city (parref - pitrefb) oiltank = remote missions (islands etc) that dont have moving enemy (e.g. extermination, destroy armour) - approx 11 (mrx1-11, or mrnd 20-31) mash = farp and base locations including ammo crates - 3 to 5 farps + base + LHD (ammob1-11 and also farp markers) T90 = enemy mission spawns like convoy - all need to be on mainland (mrnd1-20) UH1Ywreck = SW and NE points of randomised area for CSAR, CSARB and LPAT missions (you need 3 squares in all) (mpilot, mpilota, mreporter, mreportera, swpoint, nepoint) RHIB = 6 spawnpoints for wpat markers (wpat1-6) Su39 = aircraft spawn markers in a grid around the edges of the map - 8 in all (4 corners, 4 midpoints) (enemyair01-08) USMC_soldier = spawnpoints for players 22 (or 32 depending on the playercount you're using) fishingboat = LHD spawnpoint for createcarrier sensor (hms-gits) then make your base at the airfield as you want it. there are a few others, but this is almsot all the new placement you have to manage NEXT open one of my evo missions with eliteness (as it has a lot less bugs than many other versions) port your locations across to the markers and items listed... DEBUG job done p.s. the duala v4 is the latest most bug free version, e.g. in evo chernarus the water patrol, landpatrol and csar missions use specific coordinates, which require a lot more work to port. in the Duala transfer I have recoded these to marker-based functions to enable ease of porting to new maps. also the reinforcements markers get muddled up in the chernarus missions after about the 5th city. Obviously near the islands/ corazol / chantico is no good cos the airbase serves these ROZ's. A) near victoria in the north - for spec op insertions into rainy mountains at night? B) near everon in the south east - for covert approaches into corazol from the east? C) off the coast near Carmen - for ease of access to the mountain passes approaching Bagango? other ideas? eggbeast 3673 Posted March 29, 2010 ive just put up version 2 on the download link it has M113's, vulcans, M113 Ambulance (instead of the bmp), 2 types of blackhawks and MH6's - all the vehicles from the CAA1 mod. Maybe an ArmA fluke. So far other than the above it looks good. No Major errors. BTW The Tomahawk bug is THE BEST! Especially since 99% of people who try and join have ACE and no CAA1.
