I use ArmAEdit as my script editor. It's quite powerful and handy.

I also created data files so it'll detect the ArmA II commands and weapons as well.

And of course the in game editor (not the My Missions thing, but Singleplayer -> Editor). Also this forum and http://www.ofpec.com/ are both vital resources.

Pardon me of asking this.

But is there a hidden feature in the editor to create scripts?

The text boxes where you fill in the code part is way to small I think.

They extend as you type in them. And there is no hidden feature you just use notepad to write them or as someone stated above ArmAEdit.

Ok, just had to ask because of the "alt+e" feature :)

I use Eclipse when I do more complex scripting.

Not that it has the commands but it gets more structured.

I rely heavily on script files.

And I "cheat" from time to time by checking the scripting commands found in my signature

I use notepad++ for script writing (love this program).

There is a plugin somewhere for notepad++ for sqs and sqf format highlighting and stuff. It really is a great program when it comes to modding games.
