Guest Posted July 9, 2009 Could i have some more information on this please? Firstly, where are these drivers from? How did you find them? Could you post a link to the forum/site that made you discover them? What improvements are you seeing? Thanks, Rich.
krazypoloc 10 Posted July 9, 2009 The file hosting sites get the drivers from a Beta tester that uploads them.....http://ati.amd.com/products/catalyst/betatester.html I will try this out and get back to you guys......
flake 10 Posted July 9, 2009 can't detect any improvement tbh
krazypoloc 10 Posted July 9, 2009 Yeah I played for a bit tonight and don't see any improvement......very hard to make a notable change and attribute it to the drivers as the game still has a massive amount of bugs in the game itself.

Would be nice for you to either link to one of the original threads like http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33948551 or at least suggest this is taken from another site. I also like the way you never even changed the text from the original thread... unless you are rflair but highly doubt it.
sirex 0 Posted July 9, 2009 to be fair he didnt take credit, he just didnt mention the source, which really isnt the same thing. anyhow, thanks for the heads up, ill get them now. - will try anything to fix the memory fragmentation issue that causes the game to be unplayable after 30 mins. sirex 0 Posted July 9, 2009 well, they apparently fixed both my crossfire problem, and the issue with massive gfx corruption once gfx memory has been filled. - so far, two thumbs up ! :)
=Spetsnaz= 0 Posted July 9, 2009 yep its helped a bit, got about extra 3-5 fps
SimonSIx 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Nice one for taking the credit for these drivers, appears to be no mention here of rflair who makes these available in several forums. Forgot to post the source didnt try to take any credit on anything. i get 4-6 mpre fps-thats something the settings are: http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/3274/arma2d.jpg
BlueEyes73 10 Posted July 9, 2009 Now CrossfireX works without -winxp but the HDR/Light flashing persist if i set memory to veryhigh. If i set memory to default the problem seems to disappear.

ShaiCZ 10 Posted July 9, 2009 I dont have much experience with such unofficial releases. Any chance installing these could screw bad with my system?:) Any info as to when an oficial release will be made?

randir14 10 Posted July 9, 2009 This driver made my performance worse in both Empire Total War and ArmA 2.
Richey79 10 Posted July 9, 2009 Multiplayer performance for me improved a great deal since I no longer have to use the -winxp command. Single player still gets really inconsistent fps which makes some missions unplayable. Hopefully an optimised Arma 2 patch 1.3 will sort this out to some extent. Still - count our blessings, would you rather play Arma 2 sp or mp?
