-=anders=- 0 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) Dead3yez, great sounds.. But I'm soo envious by your great GFX settings and the FPS that you may have... (Seen in your video) So I gotta ask; what damn rig are you sitting on??? I have an E8500 @ 4GHz, 4GB DDR2, Geforce 8800GTX... Is that really crap? Because te game is almost unplayable with just a little high GFX settings... :( Thx, /Anders Edited July 23, 2009 by -=anders=-
MrNothing 0 Posted July 23, 2009 weapon sounds are great but any plans on doing silenced weapons ?
Dead3yez 0 Posted July 23, 2009 weapon sounds are great but any plans on doing silenced weapons ? The next release will cover all vehicle sounds, silenced weapons and handguns. Along with that I will be tweaking some of the existing sounds. Hopefully it will be ready early in the weekend. :)
Uziyahu--IDF 0 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Not bad. As a general rule of the thumb, the wider the caliber, the more bass and volume the sound effect should have. At distance, an M16 sounds like a BB gun compared to an M240 (we actually had M60's, same caliber), and likewise an M240 to an M2 .50 BMG. It becomes a regular symphony and there is no mistaking when your hand has been trumped by a louder horn. (Apologies for the mixed metaphor.) In the "jungle" of (albeit, simulated) warfare, the M16/AK74 is a bobcat, the M240/PK a tiger, and the M2/Dishka a lion. When the lion roars, there's no mistaking it. That's when the guys with the BB guns become suppressed and make the neutralization of the elephant gun a priority. The A.I. should be thinking that way, too, I might add, as that is the way the OPFOR responded to our M2 .50's. That's been my experience, anyway. eagleone 1 Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) Dead3yez sounds is good, but AK-47/74 shoot little quieter than the M16 (in real life AK-47/74 shoot louder than M16), and AK47/74 almost did not hear the echo after the shot (M16 is ok). P.S. about AK-74 echo: sorry for my english) Edited July 25, 2009 by Eagleone
