MadsHilde 10 Posted July 19, 2009 I'm new to the series and would like to know if there were any DLC for ArmA of if anybody knows if there will be DLC for ArmA2. I mean, is it normal for BIS to give os some weapons or vehicles once in a while or is all that up to modders from now on? I'm just asking out of curiosity... They sometime add new vehicles or weapons in the patches.

robmuzz 12 Posted August 16, 2009 I think DLC would be a great idea! To be honest, I'm tempted to get VBS2, but it's a lot of money for what is essentially a shed-load of addons! I'd pay for a whole load of new vehicles, units or a map here and there, as DLC for ArmaII. Would you? (As long as they were high quality and not overpriced)
dunedain 48 Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) I wouldn't like DLC contents it would be a mess for mp and I personnaly don't think there is much interest in this with the addon maker community we have. I love much more a big expansion from time to time which includes new features, units ect.. like Resistance and now Arrowhead. telejunky 0 Posted August 16, 2009 A ssaid abive: the ofp and arma series got new content via patches. :) And there will be operation arrowhead with news island, new campaign and units :)
Fenrir 10 Posted August 16, 2009 One reason i can see it being a bad idea is that, all it takes is one person to download and then release it as an addon. ;) Then everyone has it for free.
kozzy420 21 Posted August 16, 2009 There is a FULL expansion pack coming (:
mr burns 132 Posted August 16, 2009 DLC for ArmA2?Hate DLC´s, hate Xlive. Dont even think of it BI!!!!
LJF 0 Posted August 17, 2009 Hate DLC´s, hate Xlive. Dont even think of it BI!!!! Agreed. Plus it would hurt modding, BI shouldn't be competing with their fans/customers.
th3flyboy 0 Posted August 18, 2009 DLC is a NO-GO in my opinion. I bought ArmA 2 knowing that BI put's the community first, and the fact is, DLC would splinter the community far too much. Better just going with FULL X-Packs, and patches, than anything else. On the subject of X-Packs though, anyone know if Arrowhead will be released retail US?
