Hi all,

I see everyone is getting ARMA 2.

However, in South Africa, it's no where to be found.

The main online sites I use to buy games: www.take2.co.za & www.kalahari.net do not have it.

When do we expect to get it?

We normally get all the latest games the same time as the rest of you - this one.

There's a $50 AUD version and a $92 AUD version out soon, with what seems like a difference of only the game's rating and release date. Now why wouldn't I get that European version :).

Just talked to a gamestop rep and they said it was changed because they will not be carrying the game.

Wtf? Is this game even going to be released retail in the U.S.? Gamestop was the only place that had it listed. Fry's doesn't, Wal Mart doesn't, Target doesn't, Best Buy doesn't.

I had put a deposit down with EB Games in Canada and was told it would be out July 7, 2009.

After all the reading here I call the Store and they said the new date is DECEMBER 31, 2009.

I know it's a publisher, distributor thing here but WTF.

I REFUSE TO GO THROUGH THE HELL I WENT THROUGH WITH ARMA AND DOWNLOAD COPIES I PAID TWICE FOR THAT EXPERINCE JUST TO END UP PURCHASING THE DVD HARD COPY.

There must be some sort of answer for this from "Placebo, somebody?

Is it that "STEAM" / "SPROCKET" was given some lead time to pick up some sales?

Shure appears to be a political thing to me> What a shame!:(

I agree with the last post... Game Stop is telling their customers in Florida that the game is officially canceled... This is going to be a deal breaker for me... great game or not... if Bohemia is having these kinds of problems NOW... i can only imagine what kinda problems the will have later!

I just emailed Gamestop, Best Buy and Got Game Entertainment (the U.S. publisher), probably won't get a response until tomorrow though.

I am troubled at the fact that my first post on this forum is regarding the utter unavailability of this game. I'll just clarify--there is no news of the game's availability from gamestop, EB games, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc...

So I have e-mailed Got Game Entertainment inquiring about this matter. I think it's ridiculous that they would keep so many people in the dark about the matter, or at least revise the release date that is posted on game websites (that date being July 7th)

I really hope BI and Got Game Ent. can work this out and bring the game to retail stores in North America, or they will both be losing a fairly large amount of money...

Those sites like CDWOW should remove that available 06/19/2009. And maybe they can afford that $39 price.......since I may get it a year from now

Even if I were to believe their last email sent to me, it could mean I'll have it in 20 days or 20 months. They are not being specific even though they didn't mind tapping my CC for the purchase 10 days prior to them supposedly to have the game.

I to, will not go through another download of a game I know for fact it will be installed with OS changes, formatting, hardware upgrades and so fourth. (This would be BI's fault for making great games we play year after year)

Ha Ha, they must have heard me, CDWOW dispatched my game this morning, about an hour after my last look. So maybe I will get it before my vaca ends next week.

Yeah I've been reading rumors about supply problems or something, it would be nice to know if the release date has changed or not.

I'm glad to hear that it will be at Best Buy and EB games (a little confused as to why Gamestop was excluded), but I doubt the game will reach either of those retail stores by the 7th.

The EB/Gamestop thing has to be some kind of misunderstanding. They're the same company, their websites are exactly the same and they both only list ArmA 1, not ArmA 2.
