buddhabang 10 Posted June 22, 2009 I got the game on friday 19th and applied 1.02 patch straight away without playing it on 1.01. I've not experienced any massive problems but just a few hick ups: 1) I never had the option to call Starforce 21 2) I could not call in for Arty - Again no option (Spacebar, Comms then No options - just blank) 3) AI seemed to be driving better depending on vehicles. Will follow road when on wheeled APC and will go off road when on Tracked vehicles. 4) I never had the option for support at the main base, i basically shot the gunner and commander of the T72 in very quick successions, then took out the BMP using an RPG stolen from a dead Chedaki, then ordered Team Razor to move in and clear the base. Mission accomplished. Overall i enjoyed it, still playing it. These bugs won't beat me! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
n0bby 0 Posted June 22, 2009 After patching to 1.02 I was able to call in artillery once I found the main base - by then I'd completed every side-mission except picking up that woman. After I'd artied the base I was able to move in with my team through the woods in our LAV and mop up the last stragglers. After the base destruction was complete, I hopped out of the LAV and that triggered the 'found the dead commander' script. We then headed back to base. On the way back, I found the woman wandering along the road between her home and the small town she visits (the notes detail her movements). I mean I completed all the objectives except the "Insurgent Sentry Camps", "Weapon Smuggler" and the second "Find Evidence". Do I have to complete all objectives to make the mission end, or it should've ended some time ago, or what?I didn't complete the "Find Evidence" task, or find the woman and deliver her to the pick-up point, when I was told that I'd completed the mission and to report back to Manhattan. After I'd got the message that the 'destroy the base' task was complete, I checked the notes and realised that the insurgent leader was meant to be there too. Up 'til then I'd been in the LAV with my team, and in previous attempts to complete the mission (prior to patching and too buggy to complete) I'd noticed that many script events weren't triggered until I exited the LAV, or got the team to disembark. So, I jumped out of the LAV and ran up to the insurgent base CP - the mobile unit with the dish on, covered with camo net - and as I reached it I triggered the script where I radioed that I'd found the leader and he was dead. At that point I was told "mission accomplished" and to head back to base. Once again, I'd say I might just have got lucky here in triggering the script... That's how I triggered the script that the insurgent base was destroyed, which happened while me and the team were in the LAV. When i choosed to play with NAPA, I tried to get them to board the trucks but none of the team members would follow my orders. I've tried to replaythe mission, but still when it gets to this point, they won't budge anymore. They just acknowlegde and that's it, a quick nod of the head and that is it! I mean what da! |I tried leaving them behind to carry on with the mission, but didn't get too far, and i'm not meant to do it alone anyway. Please help. You get it when you choose the napa forces in "bitter chill" It's a common bug. Honestly, since you reach badlands anyway, if you want to play the mission(and advance the story), just open it in the editor. Works fine. Then, in your campaign, just do the end mission cheat. Since delaying the bear is a napa only mission, there are no choices(I think) that you have to worry about.. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I try to get my squad to use the LAV-25 but as soon as I'm within range of the enemy APC or T-72 I get mauled. My gunner seems to have a penchant for shooting the enemy armour with a regular machine gun instead of the explosive rounds. I'm getting very frustrated. Taking out base is easy then. Note: Played new game with patch and still no arti,cant command bommerang bug. However I did have arti for awhile and after I found main base the arti had a firing circle and main base was outside this circle. This apllies for both of bases possible locations. I think this is a script that isnt working for arti even when you have it because when I opened up that save point again the arti had unlimted range. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Sepulchrave 10 Posted June 27, 2009 I don't know if this is a bug or not to be honest. I went to the church where I saw Lagushina's red car and captured her outside the church door. I was then told to escort her to the LZ. We all piled into her car like a bunch of students off to Glastonbury and I drove to the LZ. When we go to around 90m away from it, Cooper automatically sent a message to HQ requesting immediate extraction from the LZ, but then Chedaki troops/armed villagers started turning up so we all ran over to the white barn nearby and took cover amongst the buildings and hay bales to hold off the bad guys until the helicopter arrived. I waited and waited, killing a few guys in the process. Got the message that we'd found the main Chedaki base camp etc....but still no helicopter. Is this a glitch, or do I have to do something else to trigger the Hind coming in. If we just hang out in the middle of the field in the open, we'll get slaughtered or at least Lagushina will since she just stands there while the bullets fly! Sep. fire 0 Posted June 28, 2009 Take a Humvee with MG with you. Then drive in the middle of the field where the marker is displayed. Man the gun by yourself and destroy the two arriving Pick-Ups. -GT--MrFreeze 10 Posted June 28, 2009 Every time I get to FOB Manhattan Cpt. Shaftoe is dead. I get a task complete for arriving over his dead body, and have the task to find evidence. No options for helicopter, mortars, etc... Thoughts? I tried restarting at One Week Later and seeing if he was alive, but no joy. Did he die in Razor Two somehow and it's screwing me?
