anguis 4 Posted June 9, 2009 Testing the plugin - it gets linked on my machine, but not on the machine that's hosting the server. Haven't been able to get it to work, yet. Working through it. . . Anyone have any advice? Anyone still have issues w/ WGL? Other mods? How's the new plugin working for you? @repeat: get a paypal account and post a link and I'll send you a donation as soon as we confirm that your plugin works for us. Overlord 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Murmur is running on a XP x64 system along with one Mumble client (the one that not work correctly). XP x64 (by default) installs 32 bit program in a folder called Program Files (x86), can this be an issue? Basically, the game linking don't happen on this box (no such message from Mumble), not in vanilla OFP, not at WGL Specs: AMD64 X2 6000+ 3 Ghz, 6 GB RAM XP Professional x64 Edition SP2

anguis 4 Posted June 15, 2009 Good news, folks! 0.8b works like it's supposed to: successfully tested it in WGL Multiplayer in a few test missions. The plugin linked consistently and the positional audio was really a treat to play around with (it works even when you've died and become a seagull). It really forces a different (more realistic, I believe) way of thinking about communication, in game. I recommend that everyone who likes multiplayer OFP should test Mumble with this plugin. Great job, repeat!
Overlord 0 Posted June 15, 2009 0.8b links on x64 systems too :) Not tested with human players yet but I'll do that later.

Overlord 0 Posted June 15, 2009 (edited) Yes, this is cool stuff :) We have discovered some small issues but it's probably MOD-related (or lack if it). We can't always hear BIS hand grenades go off in WGL but we always hear WGL hand grenades. Edit: seems to be WGL-related and not Mumble, BIS hand grenades is still suppressed without Mumble running too. Will do further testing but my overall impression of this plugin is good, actually I think it will give a whole new game experience. stilpu 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Hello, repeat, and congratulations for the great work. I've finally managed to test the new version, it works great also with mods, I've only seen 2 small issues: - positional sound has small "hick-up's", sounds are sometimes heard non-positionally for half a second or so. Not sure why this happens, but it's quite annoying, especially since we used this with zero volume at large distance. - distance is not normalized (at least on Everon), sound fades almost completely at about 35-40m even if you set max distance to 100m.
